A few more questions have come in on the Whispa, so here are the answers:

Q&A

Q: What is the estimated shipping cost?
A: Unless anything major changes, tracked international postage from the UK will be a flat 9 GBP! (Within the UK, it'll be £2.85)

Q: Is digital releasing before physical, or at the same time?
A: Both digital and physical copies will release at the same time! So, after pre-orders and production are finished. It can't be guaranteed when exactly this will be, but if everything goes well, it could be at some point in November!

Q: Did all the submissions make it in? If ours didn't, will we know before pre-ordering it?
A: The overwhelming majority of submissions made it in! The submitters of the few that didn't have already been contacted at various points over the past few months, so if you aren't aware of any contact, then you can rest assured that you were accepted.

It has been decided that the zine will be both physical and digital, and that it will be for charity! All net proceeds will go to UK charity TransActual. #transdiozine Submissions will open in a couple of days! ✨

Decisions:

The zine will be both physical and digital.
The majority of respondents said that they would be happy with a physical zine, with around half of all respondents preferring physical!

The zine will be for charity.
90% of respondents agreed that the zine should be for charity! This means that all the money made after pre-orders, printing, and leftover sales will go to UK charity TransActual.
They advocate for trans people and provide information about trans issues, with a focus on essential areas like healthcare, legal rights, and press coverage. These are especially important right now, as we see trans people’s dignity and rights put under threat by UK media and government.

Q&A #1: Here are answers to some questions and concerns that people have raised so far. The interest check form is open until the 22nd of June! You can find a link to it, along with more information, in the Carrd: transdiozine.carrd.co ✨

Will submissions about Diego be allowed?
Yes! He is an alternative universe version of Dio after all.

Is traditional art allowed?
Absolutely! I want to encourage a wide range of media and types of submissions. Illustrations, sketches, paintings, fanfiction, written analysis, poetry, collages, cosplay photography, fibre crafts, patterns, etc... Pieces which are not of typically 'fully finished' quality are also welcome.

Can the submission window be extended?
Yes, your point that people almost always ask for extensions is a good one. I will gladly make the submission window 5 months instead of 3, i.e. early July to mid December. This will likely push the schedule back more than two months overall though, due to the formatting period beginning during the holidays.
