This 1.0 show was my very first Phish experience. Any Phans remember theirs? Strong setlists that included face melting covers: La Grange (ZZ Top), Ramble On (Zeppelin), Loving Cup (Rolling Stones), Burning Down the House (Talking Heads). Tickets $27/parking $2 😮 www.youtube.com/watch?v=gTbt...

Found a clear aud version of this show. 😆 Poor Jimmy Wise... The legendary taper caught a lot of flak right before Shakedown started. Gotta appreciate the unhinged rawness of these audience recordings. Have a Grateful evening all. archive.org/details/gd82...

Soundboard barn burner from this day in 1989. A day later (2/6/89) they released 'Dylan & The Dead.' It consists of seven live songs written/sung by Dylan, with the Dead providing accompaniment. Explains why Weir decided to cover Desolation Row at this show. gratefuldeadoftheday.com/02-05-1989/

Spot on. Paranoid is rightly seen as an essential metal template, but it should also be seen as an essential document of it's era. Still relevant today.

Music tip of the day: Check out the band Dizgo if you're in the mood for psychedelic energy, infectious grooves, and plenty of Moog.

A few DSOTM behind the scenes fun facts I'd also add: The "stoned" laughter in the background of Speak to Me and Brain Damage is from Peter Watts, a road manager pictured on the back of the Ummagumma sleeve. Also the slide guitar on Breathe was a pedal steel David Gilmour purchased back in 1968.
