I read SAR reports. There are too many casual hikers that don’t inform themselves well, and end up creating risks for themselves and others. On the hardest of hikes, and ones with exposure issues, I try and remind folk of the risks. If I can improve the website, please advise me how.

I’ve been using Blogger since 2007 and it looks like Google has a technical problem that’s done the same thing to a few thousand sites. It’s a bit of a relief, since I assume they’ll fix it soon. Maybe it’ll give me the push I need to find a better hosting setup anyway.

It was a warm week, for sure. I got to see a wet Cedar Creek Falls, did the 1-day Mission Trails 5-Peak Challenge, headed to Eagle Rock, took a trip to the desert (inc Canyon Sin Nombre loop) and hiked up to the 200-inch telescope on top of the Palomar Mts.
