Marabou stork made direct eye contact and flew to perch directly in front of me and standing on that branch was TALLER 😭 While I was busy shitting myself it turned and casually hopped to the next branch. It was awesome but they have truly have no business being that large!!!

I’ve been reading more work from African authors, particularly Nigerian, and I’m fascinated at the similarities with Southeast Asian culture, including the English! Like the use of “o” at the end of sentences reminds me of the Singlish “la” (and apparently the accents sound similar too)

1. Select any brush 2. Click the tab next to "Tool Group" 3. Click the Settings icon in the bottom right corner 4. Go to "Color Jitter" and check the box that says "Randomize per stroke" 5. Adjust the settings as you like (the numerical value is how much it will vary)

Currently working on a painting and I love the colour jitter function, which adjusts the colour of your brush per stroke! If you feel your artwork is a bit too "flat" this could help. Here's how to do it! 👇 #ClipStudioPaint #CSP #illustration #tutorial #resources

I think it's hard to fully grasp the prose in this book unless you read it in its entirety and see how it's used hahaha, this is someone's review of this book on goodreads and it is exactly how the author writes

A screenshot of a goodreads review on Dark Matter by Blake Crouch:

3 stars

I loved the premise of this story.
Are we really happy? What if we made different decisions in life?
What if we could live out choices we never made but wished we did?
What if we went left instead of right?
Straight.
Backward.
Diagon Alley.
Harry Potter.
The premise was very interesting. The stuff about the box and the multiverse and even the science at times was interesting.
Why couldn't you pull that off, Andy Weir?
The plot is so fast-paced and relentless. Even if you aren't fully invested, you want to keep going because it's so easy to keep going.
Few paragraphs have more than two sentences. Most have just one.
Or just a few words.
Or a list.
Sausage.
Pepperoni.
Cheese.
Bacon.
I use the word "paragraph" loosely.
Blake Crouch doesn't use paragraphs at all. Sometimes.
Sentences.
Words.
Little description.
All plot.
All action.
Lots of running. Guns. Murder, kind of. Surprises.
Family.
Love.

The darkness isn't empty. It's hungry. At the edge of the City of the Void, a massive chasm extends miles into the earth, its treacherous terrain overrun with vicious monsters and carnivorous plants. For orphaned best friends Petra and Jade, guiding treasure-seeking tourists down into the Void is the only way to earn enough to pull themselves up out of the slums for good. Petra prefers to play it safe and take jobs only in the Void's upper levels, where the dangers are better understood, while Jade wants to risk a descent to the deepest and most mysterious Sixth Layer. Because the deeper they go, the better the payout, and the sooner their dreams can become reality. Their friendship is Petra's whole world, and Jade's approval means everything—so Petra agrees to do it Jade's way. When their job goes wrong and Jade is lost in the Void, Petra must plunge deeper than she's ever dared to save her friend. But she doesn't know the truth of the Void... or what really waits for her in its depths.
