Still incongruent. Anyway, thank you kindly for the polite dialogue.

I studied Buddhism about 20 years ago after getting into the works of Barry Long and read the Tibetan Book of the Dead. My memory is that there is no God in Buddhism, i.e., nothing objective outside of man as a source for morality. Am I correct?

70% of pregnancies result in the birth of a child. 100% of abortions result in the birth of a dead child. Banning abortion increases the percentage of children who are not killed by abortion.

You are predicating your rebuttal on emotions and health, which is an accidental form but not a substantial form. The substantial form of the foetus and pregnant child is that of human being.

Sorry, yes you made a valid point. I would rebut that the value of the foetus and pregnant child are equal, e.g., sanctity of life ethic. You may be referring to the quality of life ethic.

I'm inclined to agree, e.g., morals were required for early communities to survive. I'm also inclined to suggest those morals were subjective rather than objective until God gave provided a model for objective morality.

You're confusing the part with the sum of the parts, e.g., a hand is also human material but not a human being. It's a human being from the moment two haploids fuse to form a diploid organism, i.e., conception (Source: Carnegie stage 1a development). medium.com/@tradcatman/...

They always conflate the part with the sum of the parts. It's the most basic logical reasoning, yet it's beyond the cognitive abilities of most pro-aborts.

I didn't say that. Unless you base your morals in something objective, then your morality is subjective, i.e., you cannot state that X is right or wrong, as the opposite may be subjectively right or wrong to other people.

I've got two thumbs and no vax or boosters. I've had covid twice. The people I know who had the vax had covid more times than I did. Which implies the vax increases the probability of catching covid, rather than vaccinating against covid pr(covid|vax) > pr(¬covid|¬vax) Funny how that worked out.

Sure, i'll tell you. Let's suppose 100 babies in place X are aborted every day. Banning abortion means that those 100 babies will be born, instead of being aborted. Some may be aborted illegally, but the aggregate will be born. You're welcome.
000
Traditional Catholic Man @tradcatman.bsky.social · 31/12/2024
It's a valid causal relation, i.e., the right to abort a child is predicated on being raped: A : raped, B : right to abortion. A -> B Without A taking place, B cannot take place.

Traditional Catholic Man @tradcatman.bsky.social · 31/12/2024
By your logic, if a woman is meant to be raped then she will be raped, no power in the universe could have prevented it. In which case the rapist should not be punished as he had no say in the matter, it was something outside of his control managed by a higher power.
