Did you notice the viola? I had to ask my son, an up and coming violist, about it. He said it's an Oak Leaf viola and that they are exceptionally rare (and of course $$$). They're only made by one master craftsman in California.

I moved away from Savannah, 40 years ago- back when bookstores were more than a novelty. E Shaver was always my favorite and had excellent local selections. Ironically enough I had an E Shaver purchase- Buddy Sullivans "Early Days on a Georgia Tisewater" out last week. Thanks for posting this.
