If you're going to age gate your TG group, put that in the rules or group name. Kicking someone for "violating" an unwritten rule by being older than what you were wanting in your publicly listed group isn't cool. Finds group for local furs, joins, kicked for being over 30. Put that in the rules.

Made it through 4 of the 10 haunted houses at HHN last night. At midnight the wait times were still over an hour for all of them and we were all pretty sore and tired so we just called it. I think they intentionally over sell the event to push people to buy express passes.

Going to HHN at Universal Orlando tonight. We are doing just one night this year. The crowds are just too much to deal with. Disney is way better about limiting their after hour events, given the fact that they actually limit them. And Epic Universe still isn't part of annual passes.

Seems a fair amount of people I was friends with just straight up left the fandom. I don't get that to be honest. It's like being a Star Trek fan and then one day saying "You know I'm done with this Star Trek thing." You don't quit Star Trek so how are you quitting the furry fandom?

If you cant afford to have someone draw your sona for you then look at getting a base. There are plenty of free to use bases on FA that you can color yourself. Just be sure to credit the creator for doing the base. There are also pay to use bases that are fairly cheap. No reason to use AI at all

Love how fur cons are saying no to AI. The fandom is mostly about the art used to bring our creations to life. So we have to put value on the people who, through years of hard work and dedication, honed their abilities to draw.

Buddy they can add two factor after opening the site up. Changes get made to websites that are up and running all the time. We could have been back on SF months ago if they just restored it and kept working on the updates instead of wanting to push it all on us at once. It's pretty freaking stupid

But they didn't yank down FA for six months. There's kind of a difference in the grand scheme of things you just don't seem to be getting. Your white knighting for Toumal isn't doing any good. Site has been down so long most have moved on and accepted it as a total loss.

Christmas of next year maybe. The estimate of being up by the end of the year is about to be another missed deadline. Sucks that there is only the one furry site for stories. They need real competition.

Almost six months of down time, no way users are flooding back in. Likely lost a fair bit of casual users to FA and Weasyl at this point. If you cant trust them to get back up in a reasonable amount of time, it turns people off. And it's been nothing but "soon" every update post for months.

SF search worked. Follows worked. The tab where all the submissions posted by people you followed, worked. Following a series worked. Nothing on the beta worked. Considering it's almost been six full months, the beta wasn't worth keeping and should have been tossed in the trash.

We're getting six months of downtime for that? A bare bones site is better than six months of nothing. Should have stuck to the original idea of just getting it up in read only mode and going from there. Really doubting the site is coming back at all if TFA was something you delayed for.

They still have to get the beta up and running without it catching on fire. If they just migrated the site onto new hardware it would have been back online before the first month ticked by. They are scrambling to write code and get the beta updated and into a finalized state.

They aren't done making the beta a full usable version. And of course doing the ten minutes in code work to get original SoFurry up and running wasn't worth it if none of us want to use the incredibly terrible beta version.
