Too hot and dry, with the exception of 2 plants they flowered earlier than normal and died off earlier. The other 2 are looking wonderful now but a bit smaller than usual.

I would love to think this is only a US problem but we had an old man hit a female protester with a walking stick at the Reform UK conference and she was removed but not the man or others who assaulted her. He was eventually given a conditional caution by the police but he wasn't arrested. 🤬🤬.

The News Agents do a weekly US focused show and more UK / international show which covers whatever are the top stories of the day.

Congress seems to be useless at the best of times. There are too many career / corporate politicians, even Dems to really change anything. Just look at the lack of real progress, especially on the ERA, voting rights, minimum wages, healthcare, abortion, political donations / funding.....

I can't listen to the Rest is Politics as it is Alastair Campbell, I blame him for a lot of the spin we get in the UK, he was the King of Spin which included a lot of the Iraq war lies. The News Agents is another one I listen to some of the time.

Unfortunately in the US it is probably a lot harder for general strikes as healthcare is tied to your employment and you have a lot less rights as employees. It is a lot harder for employers in Europe / UK to fire people, especially if there are strong unions.
