I was a part of my company's user conference this year and I went full "Adult theater kid peacocking with painted nails for the queer kids out there". If it was going to be online forever, mind as well look dope and colorful during it.

Slay the Spire 2 is incredible. @megacrit.com have knocked it out of the park again. So many wonderful quality of life improvements and so many more paths to go down. Well done!
A Slay the Spire Card object "Claw+" which deals a 49 damage and increases the damage of ALL Claw cards by 3 this combat. Is also augmented with "Swift" which allows you to Draw 3 cards the first time this card is played.

I think whatever fits your cube style the best and stands out visibly. My friends cube has singleton arts to make Park Map work as a cheaper expedition map. I think as long as basics are easily read and have a narrative behind them, it works!

Draft 3 was John Lady's Mono-Black cube cubecobra.com/cube/list/d5.... Where I went heavy into Artifacts, knowing black has a hard time dealing with them. Dollhouse of Horrors was the MVP, but I had a very hard time dealing with Reanimator! Definitely reminded me of the Devoid cube a little bit.

Draft 2 was Cliff's renowned BUSTED Uncommons Cube cubecobra.com/cube/list/bu... Where I started very Red and dove face first into RW Equipment once Akiri showed up. Nothing better than attacking with a Warhammer'd up guy and drawing a card! Goblin bombardment felt way too good for an uncommon!

I went P1P1 Nadu over my favorite child Inti, Seneschal of the Sun (because I love that card so much in my own cube) but sadly never drew Nadu or got to abuse the bird. Sickest play east T1 fast bonding out an Esikas Chariot but went a mediocre 1-2 due to not having enough payoffs. Sweet cube tho!

Finally, i'm very excited to bring these two Instant // Sorceries to my cube. For a while I've bemoaned not having this particular card type, forgetting that split cards were the answer! GR often makes use of Delirium, and I'm estatic to have found these cards. 8/

Other times, a card like Unholy Annex can rise up and inspire me to curate a more demon focused experience, leading to a whole suite of kindred dreams for people to live. Leading me to include Ammit Eternal, both a demon AND a zombie! Which then incentivizes Zul Ashur. More vision! 7/

Sometimes a card's complexity can overshadow its vision, or other cards can deny players fun just by being "too good". It took me a bit to realize Ophiomancer was one of these cards. It can stymie aggro decks, provide a constant supply of bodies, and doesn't have a cost or trade off. 6/

Vision is my own term for "How does this card inspire players to draft?" Normally we see text box, mana costs, p/t. But in my cube, the type line plays an important role. Card types fuel delirium. Changeling cards affect Kindred synergies. Inti, Chthonian nightmare fuels GYs. 4/

Often changes to cubes are driven by recent sets, inspiration or boredom for designers. For me and The Jund Cube, it's always about the struggle of Vision vs. Complexity in cube. The Jund Cube is a 'Goyf playground, and a Graveyard centered cube. So delirium and card types are important. 2/

It's an ambitious goal! I made my own denim painted jacket and it was a ton of fun, but a lot of work. I used 1/2 Acrylic Paint, 1/2 Modge fabric paint. Then found a local screen printer that helped me with the text and heat treated the paint so the acrylic / modge formed a lattice.

The Boomer pick of the day, Tec'Edge was a staple of the past, by shutting down manlands and greedy splashes. It even has some "tech" by being able to activate multiples on the stack while your opponent has 4+ lands. I include it in my cube over Field of Ruin effects to cut down on shuffle time.

To me, Fountainport from BLB is Trading Post of lands! Creates tokens, is extremely versatile, and can provide card advantage. The opportunity cost of FP is quite low in comparison, and is happy to take ANY token or give you a Fish! This card's ability to generate value from unused mana is great!

Vista looks "worse" than the ONS/ZEN Fetches, but that's because we undervalue its simplicity and basics. @anthony.luckypaper.co 's incredible cubecobra.com/cube/list/re... Regular Cube features 8 for its mana fixing. Fetches are extremely powerful, and a basic restricted one is still quite good.

The MKM Surveil lands are a hallmark of land evolution. They're typed, slow, and powerful. From being fetchable to providing an innocuous but incredulous Surveil 1, these babies have it all. From Standard to Legacy to Cubes, these lands make a splash and a statement. Surveil 1!

Finally, we come to the main reason this thread was started. I believe Palantir is one of those rare cards DESIGNED to warp the game around its subgame and ratchet up tension as the game goes on. There are so many choices available to players, so much semi-hidden information that it sparks joy. 1/5

Speaking of Value Engines, Converter often gets overshadowed by Retrofitter Foundry, but excels in graveyard/discard based synergies. Getting an extra "oomph" out of your discarded cards while still throwing them into the graveyard is huge in the long game. A little complex, but still quite good.

Today's Boomer slot. It's overlooked as being "worth a slot" in main decks or even in cubes. The reality is that it rewards careful thought and preparation. Stopping an engine preemptively for such a small cost is often worth a card if you would lose the game anyway. Just name the right card!

It's rote at this point to describe OG Umezawa's Jitte's impact on limited. Instead, I think Lost Jitte is an amazingly versatile equipment that pairs nicely with +1/+1 counter synergies and land shenanigans. Speaking of lands, you haven't lived until you untapped your Urza's Saga with this card.
