We want to highlight the incredible work being done by Second Run, so we chose them as this month's label spotlight! Launched in 2005, Second Run has consistently delivered high-quality releases with original extra features, uniform packaging, and almost always region-free discs.

This month, Uncle Kadaver’s Atom!c Disc Reviews physical media review series takes on “Tarantula” from 1955, which was released by Shout! Studios via Scream Factory. Giant monster movie fans should give this a read if they need any convincing to pick up “Tarantula” on Blu-ray.

Our creative director, Stan Giesea, has a long history with the underrated horror director Tobe Hooper. In the latest issue, Stan shared the story of the filming of the pilot of “Nowhere Man” (1995-96).

For issue 31, we chose to spotlight New Wave Video, the Australian/Japanese company that launched in 2025. Despite the short amount of time since launch, they’ve already made a name for themselves with impressive releases that showcase a diverse mixture of Japanese cinema. l.linklyhq.com/l/1utJN
