Does @virginiamedia.bsky.social hate existing customers? They sent me a reminder, telling me my broadband price was going up by around 20%, and an offer. Not sure if they meant to include the offer for new customers price as well, but it's 1/2 the price, for exactly the same offering. Buh-bye

I think they're keeping the story 'live'. Rather than a big drop of everything, they're making sure the story stays in the media. They'll start with small fry, then build out bigger narratives with more compelling, complete stories. Most stuff so far is inconsequential, low/no-context pics.

The biggest concern seems to be distance between the pump outside and the water tank. There's a LOT of pipe work, and it all needs to be insulated. Didn't work for us, but I could imagine it might for others. We paid octopus to do survey, then they refunded when we didn't go ahead.

Given the close ties to governments, justice systems, and healthcare, these orgs will surface your data in any way that is valuable to them, they don't care. They don't care when the random text generator promotes an act of self-harm in a session. No consequence for them. Only for the user.
