Kamome and Taka were introduced fairly late into Towatsugai's main story, so they never had design notes publicly released. If I ever get access to the design notes that were included in the Memorial Fanbook, I'll add them!

Two years ago today, July 23, 2024, was a big day for Towatsugai. First, the second stageplay, Towatsugai II, held its last performance. Then, at 8 PM JST, Towatsugai's mobile game servers closed while Towatsugai Fans's servers opened.

And that should be it for staff (at least for the game-side of Towatsugai)! If you hadn't noticed, a majority of them are also involved in SINoALICE and the Nier series. This originally made Towatsugai very attractive for fans of those series, so I hope you're equally excited!

Towatsugai was a yuri, fantasy, RPG mobile game from Square Enix that remained in service for a year and a half and produced 2 stageplays. Even after EOS, the staff continued to work on Towatsugai through a fan community website until the fully voiced main story was completed.

163

Towatsugai Subs @towatsugaisubs.bsky.social · 20/06/2026

I decided to start working on these translations as a way to revisit one of my favorite series, but also because I want to share Towatsugai with people who never got to read the story or maybe had never even heard of it before the mobage's EOS
