[a laugh!!] it seems you have much to learn in the way of trickery... [a smirk on his muzzle, proud of his accomplishment.]

[and the thing he was eating... was actually a fat bug! it still retained the sweetness, but the shapeshifting leaf slowly fell off of it.] i hope you're enjoying it. [the elder spoke with feigned innocence, looking away as if he hadn't noticed.]

yes. quite. i keep some within my pouch. [opening the little bag tied to his belt, he is offering it to teemo!] try a bite. it's only fair we exchange snacks. be careful not to eat the pit.

but they taste like a fresh grape. how can you hate it? [a little smirk on his muzzle. secretly sliding one of his shapeshifting leaves into the pile.] you know, young spirit, i have been around these woods for a long time. have you ever tried the cherries here?

worms are not gross. they are essential to the world... and they are full of nutrients. hm. i knew these leaves tasted differently, not oak...

sometimes, you have no choice. you'll adjust to the taste eventually, as miserable as it is. [munch.] but i can't complain. perhaps i'll find a tasty worm within these leaves...

you know, when i was a pup like you, my father once told me to eat only leaves and tree bark for a week, because i refused to eat the meal great mother mei cooked. it's not as bad as it could be, little one.

ׂ╰┈➤ 𝐇𝐀𝐉𝐈𝐌𝐄. @toughtanuki.bsky.social · 22/01/2025

that's far better. [he was a bit disappointed it was only leaves, but... he's eating them anyway???] still, enjoyable for a snack...

how could i forget onigiri of all things? perhaps i'd forget something like dango. [a breath of amusement as he took it, munching on it rather gleefully. mm!] so, you make these, correct...?

there's not a tanuki on this planet that isn't aware of onigiri. yes, i'd love some. [he chuckled, wrinkling his snout after the playful remark.] old and wrinkly? as if! i am like a fine spring buck!

hm. what kind of snacks? [a nose twitch. the precision of his heightened senses could easily pick up on anything that could go wry with bad snacks, but he'd entertain them... even if they had wasabi.] come closer, little one. don't be so far away.

little one... that was not funny. that wasn't even clever. you just hit me with something. [looking away, hand resting under his greying muzzle.] your steps were loud and foolish, too.
