One of my little mushroom characters lying on a bed of lemon thyme. It's a cardboard cutout of a sharpie and copic marker illustration.

A photo of an artwork. A slightly worried looking mushroom character is lying on a bed of lemon thyme with beautiful afternoon light hitting it. The small thyme leaves are casting tiny shadows on the figure. The mushroom is a cardboard cutout of a sharpie and alcohol marker illustration. #art #illustration #mushroom #mushroomart #gameofshrooms

I haven’t done an acrylic painting in so long I can’t even remember the last time. I’m making a comic about a time traveling puppet and this is the monster the puppet is based on.

I made a comic about a ghost trying to start a massage parlour 👻 It's a little bit long to fit the whole thing in a bluesky post 👉 touchingdoodles.com/ghost-masseur/

A pen, pencil and black ink wash illustration of a spooky looking castle that is actually a charming massage parlour nestled on a commercial street full of shops. But it's misty and late at night. The ghost proprietor can be seen high up in one of the castle windows. #art #artskye #illustration #comic #ghost #watercolor #inks

A horrifying burger monster ? Yes please! Reply with any weird burger art you’ve made ! (Cardboard, permanent marker and Copic marker for some extra shadows )

First wasabi leaf harvest. Just a touch of burn. It’s liking winter but I’m not confident it’ll survive a Sydney summer

A photo of me holding a biggish wasabi leaf harvest. It’s a rich green and sort of looks like something you’d find in a pond.

A recent fav from a very fun and sort of silly life drawing session 👕

Life drawing in micron pen of a man stand with his shirt pulled up over his ears like a child would when playing a game. The drawing is from the back. The style is line focused with shadows delineated by blocked out shapes. On the same page, upside down, is a drawing of the same long haired man pulling up his shirt in a flamboyant way. #lifedrawing #drawing #art #artskye

A mashup of two poses I liked from this weeks life drawing session.

A life drawing of a women’s 3/4 portrait done in a loose style in pen. On the same page upside down is a sketch of the same model from behind. The two fit together into a fun composition. #artskye #lifedrawing

Another week another naked body to render onto a 2d surface in such a way as to create the illusion of 3-dimensionality. 10 minute pose with some extra time after the session to sharpen it up.

A life drawing of a women from the waist up in portrait. She has sizable breasts and her hair is in a bun. The style is loose with purple marker shadows. #art #artskye #lifedrawing

I'm trying to make Game of Shrooms more of an event in Sydney this year. I'm wrangling together friends to do one big art treasure hunt in Prince Alfred Park. I'm not normally the guy organising things so this is a fun experiment! #gameofshrooms

For some reason this was my favourite life drawing this week. Loose and sparse.

A very loose and sparse life drawing of women who’s head is being cradled by another women who is facing away from the viewer. The drawing is very lightly sketched in pen with some rough coloured marker shadows thrown in. #art #drawing #lifedrawing

I was in an art battle last week. It was a lot of fun. I normally don’t like being the center of attention but the crowd was good vibes. 20 minute rounds.
