I wandered around the botanical garden in Kraków for 3 hours last Friday, and the plants there were amazing 💚! While writing the alt texts, I learned that one of the plants is a "red hot cat tail" ❤️ and one is a kind of "foxtail fern" 🧡. #flowers #plants #nature #bloomscrolling #krakow

A red hot cat tail (acalypha hispida), with many long, pinkish-red bushy flowers hanging down. The plant also has big green leaves.

A zebra plant (goeppertia zebrina), with many striped leaves, that are very bright light green striped with very dark green sections in between, creating a beautiful contrast.

Pretty pink water lilies in dark brown water. The lily pads in different sizes are partially covering each other. In the middle is a nicely visible flower with multiple layers of pink petals surrounding the orange stamens. There are a few more (partially) visible flowers in the upper right.

A foxtail fern (asparagus densiflorus Meyerii), with many long, bushy, light green "tails" meandering outwards in all directions.

Finally obtained a VLC hat, and it's the best thing 😊 I got it as a freebie at the 25 years FSFE party in Cracow, where I met many awesome people 🥰 Thank you so much, @kirschner ! #vlc #fsfe25

Selfie of me wearing an orange-white VLC street cone as a hat. I'm wearing a black shirt, round glasses. I have grey-green eyes, a satisfied look and a slight smile. My long chestnut brown curly hair is slightly reddish, because of the sun/lighting. In the background are some posters on the wall and plushies on the couch.

Got a new charm 🥰 and had to make this: 🦊 Inside you there are two foxes 🦊 #fox #meme #cute

The text "Inside you there are two foxes" in orange. Below are two photos of the two sides of a cute fox charm, with heart-shaped hook on a violet piece of paper. In the left image, the fox is looking a bit shy. In the right one, it's wearing sunglasses and has a cool and determined expression.

Came across this little caterpillar while hiking today. Fuzzy black bristles surrounded by shimmering snow. #caterpillar #naturephotography

A fuzzy, pitch-black caterpillar crawling on top of snow, photographed in the shade and from above. The caterpillar is slightly curved and a bit thicker on the left side. It has eleven fuzzy bundles on each side with hairs/spikes pointing in all directions.

Found some nice street art in Brussels yesterday 🦊 As far as my French goes (still in my early days learning it), the text is: "I'm not a pest" #brussels #bruxelles #streetart #fox

Painting of a little fox with a somewhat pleading expression sprayed onto an electrical infrastructure box. The text "Je ne suis pas un nuisible" is written in stylized letters on its side. The fox is sitting with its front legs stretched, has dull orange fur, with black paws, white snout, chin, ears and belly, and a very fluffy black/orange white tail with a white tip. The text "This fox loves XR" is written below, but doesn't seem to be by the original artist.

Image of a steamy window with a heart symbol and the text FOSDEM written into the condensation. It's dark outside and a street lamp is right behind the text, illuminating it.

Made myself a sticker wall! Now I can apprieciate my stickers every day ☺️ I didn't actually stick them on, but used two-sided tape, so I can pull them off again, change them around, gift them to people, etc. #sticker #stickerwall #pride

A white poster with about 100 stickers on it, attached to a wall. The stickers form some clusters, wildly mixed, but in anaesthetically pleasing way, partially overlap each other and are of diverse colors and themes. Most stickers are cute, some are shiny, there are many LGBTQ+-themed stickers, lot's of rainbows, quite a few Haecksen stickers, dotMeow stickers, some stickers from the game Oneshot, some cute animal stickers, flowers and butterflies colored with pride flags and quite a few more unique ones. There is still lots of empty space to be filled between the clusters.

🧡 #39c3 #fairydust #lgbtq #pride

Education without Microsoft is possible and much cheaper! The Italian schools in South Tyrol have been doing it for 20 years now. A short, but interesting and motivating talk: www.sfscon.it/talks/fuss-20-years-o… #foss […] [Original post on mathstodon.xyz]

A slide from a presentation with title "FUSS: 20 years of Free Software in education" at the bottom. The title of the slide is "Financial aspects". The text is "In the past 20 years (2005-2025), we invested € 860.262. From 2007 to 2022 (16 years) the investment in Free Software was lass than what we spent in just 2004 for Microsoft licenses and other proprietary software. € 303.000 vs. 312.000€."

The slide also contains a table with "year, description, costs" starting from 2004 and going until 2025. The year 2004 has "Microsoft and other software licences" with a cost of € 312.000,00, the year 2005 has "initial migration + development" with a cost of € 316.815,00, the year 2006 has "migration + maintenance" with a cost of € 125.750,00. A hand holding an enamel pin from the side with a locking pin back and instructions. The locking pin back is shaped a bit like a top hat. Its top part can be pulled out a bit for unlocking, but only when squeezing the middle at the same timen. Locking happens automatically by inserting the spur and having the locking mechanism snap in place.

My cosplay as a forest witch at Yunicon on Halloween. A friend arranged a professional photoshoot for three of us on a pay-what-you-want basis 💚 Photoshoot done by: www.instagram.com/theartofmadamedea… #cosplay #yunicon #halloween #witch

An upper body shot of a young woman standing in front of a tree with light green and yellow leaves and a bush with dark green leaves further in the background on the right side. She is wearing a green middle-age style dress with an irregular light and dark pattern, dark green nail polish and an ornate red butterfly amulet. Her expression is hard to read, neither friendly nor angry, but the way she is holding her hand up might seem slightly threatening. She has green-grey eyes, her chestnut-colored hair is tied back, and decorated with a little orange butterfly hairclip. The photo was taken contre-jour, creating bloom/glow, in particular the red butterfly amulet seems to glow too.

Got to see and touch my first snow of the season ❄️ while hiking at laghi di fusine in Italy today ☺️ #hiking #nature #italy

Mountain tops slightly covered with snow on the left, a hill with mixed trees with red, green, yellow and orange colored leaves on the right. Before that is a thick fog trail and more trees. Everything is reflected in a lake with clear water. On the right, the water is more shallow, resulting in a very slight greenish tint for that half of the reflection.
