you can actually reduce the Wesleyan quadrilateral to two points the scriptures say they are reliable. my experience is that experience correctly interpreted is reliable. meanwhile (Anglican) tradition says that scripture is primary - not tradition and Godel has shown that reason is incomplete.

while waiting for a date another customer came up and introduced himself and asked if I needed anything. I don't think he was staff in retrospect, and he seemed sober and normal. when he left he stopped again at our table (now with date) and said to have a good night.

I interestingly think there's something to emotions and Anthropic's 3 H's helpful - emotions have information. they're trying to tell you something. honest - emotions are your truth. acknowledging them means seeing yourself. harmless - emotions cannot hurt you. you can endure whatever comes up.
