The Tulliby Lake, Alberta EF3 tornado on July 11 with @otusproject.bsky.social was such an unbelievable spectacle that I still can hardly stop pondering it. After the chaser traffic of peak season, it’s a humbling, rare, and beautiful gift to experience a top tier event in near solitude. #abstorm

No words. Here is a peak at one of our most incredible drone flights around a #tornado to date near Tulliby Lake, AB. This will likely be one of our last intercepts of the season, thank you so much to everyone for following along! #stormchasing #nature #weather

The Tubilly Lake, SK tornado today that we made an @otusproject.bsky.social intercept on… after getting stranded with a broken engine on the way last night and then pulling an all-nighter to make the chase today, what a payoff!

Phenomenal @otusproject.bsky.social chase today with structure/tornado combo at Hubbell, NE. Two drone intercepts with data on this, will be out tomorrow searching/recovering drones - if you’re in the area with a camera drone and have some time would love the help!

Tornado I got on an @otusproject.bsky.social chase today near Fleming, CO. Sadly wasn’t filming when some nice subvortex action in the dirt was happening. Lasted a few minutes.

One year ago today… one of the greatest tornado chases of my career thus far, and my favorite tornado I have yet seen (Spiritwood, ND). A target decision that wildly paid off for us @otusproject.bsky.social

Video still of a power flash under the Charlestown tornado west of town with rain wrapping around it. This was inside the notch looking south a little after we flew a drone into it. Amazing HP supercell! Chasing with @otusproject.bsky.social

An awe-inspiring and scary supercell bearing down on us on June 6, 2025 outside Spearman, TX. We were stuck in the mud at this time - we managed to get unstuck and flee only seconds before massive hail arrived.

I’ve always told people not to call me meteorologist - the title is earned through the hard work of completing the degree. Starting today that is no longer the case! Thank you to everyone who helped and supported me to reach this incredible milestone!

With graduation from Millersville University coming up, I’m honored to share that earlier this spring I accepted a graduate school offer at the Atmospheric Science program at Texas Tech, and will continue exploring tornado winds. I look forward to beginning this fall!

Amazing supercell structure illuminated by lightning near Spearman, TX, the night of June 6, 2025. This came ~2.5 hours after a different supercell produced an EF2 tornado in the same location outside of town.

The billowing updraft of an LP supercell near Freedom, OK, May 18, 2025. This photogenic storm produced 4 tornadoes near Arnett before slowly weakening for several hours, taking on this appearance around sunset.

A stout supercell near Boise City, OK on June 6, 2025. This tornadic cell meandered southeast for roughly 10 hours and 290 miles, beginning west of Kim CO and moving through the OK and Texas panhandles before ending around Cordell in SW OK

The time-lapses of my 2025 storm chases with the OTUS Project. An art that is very difficult with our drone tornado intercepts, but where there’s a will, there’s a way. Some of these clips are pretty insane, I hope you enjoy! Video link: youtu.be/ac3ibC8JejM

A storm over mountains in Big Bend National Park, Texas, June 10, 2025. We missed the tornado produced by the supercell for a research engagement, arriving as it blew out near the Mexican border. An absolutely beautiful landscape to see storms in.

Insanely photogenic storms around Amistad, NM, June 7, 2025. We watched a weaker storm dropping dramatic wet downbursts before going after what would eventually become an incredible sunset supercell.

The Higgins, TX-OK anticyclonic tornado on May 18, 2025. This was the companion to a cyclonic tornado out of frame to the left, and the predecessor to the Arnett twister. We got two simultaneous @otusproject.bsky.social drone intercepts on this one.

Close up anticyclonic tornado near Higgins, TX/OK border, 5/18/25. Virtually invisible until a house blew up a couple hundred yards away. One of the most chaser free tornadoes I’ve had, just our group of Jeff Piotrowski and @otusproject.bsky.social alone there. Predecessor of the Arnett EF3.

The stunning Fort Ransom, ND EF2 tornado at its peak, June 20, 2025. This tornado is very overlooked as it was the predecessor to the Enderlin EF5, and to my knowledge, only Tanner Charles and my @otusproject.bsky.social team were close to it.

Impressive dusk tornado at Spearman, TX, June 6, 2025. Very few saw this EF2 because of the HP nature of the storm, and it’s not well known. We launched 2 @otusproject.bsky.social drones on this (3rd image) but had to bail before reaching it to keep ahead of hail with the bad road options.
