Dario Marianelli’s “Elegy for Dunkirk” from Atonement (2007) and Samuel Barber’s “Adagio for Strings” (à la Platoon) share similar melodies and spirit — and harmonize nicely when keymatched. Also the war theme. Strange no one else has picked up on this in all the years since.

Also, despite how entertaining the Terminator films are, the worst thing to come out of them is an imagination-impoverished mindset that their sensationalist sci-fi is a shibboleth for the "AI doomer" scenario. (That and the Matrix.) Real life, actual possibilities are even more interesting.

I enjoy rolling fluid chords around tight groove structures — often improvised beats that aren't "loops" but jammed in one go. It's fun to make harp-zither hybrids accelerate and lock into the rhythm, then drift and unsync momentarily.
