Day 4 of #SafariWeek , I’ve been doing more encounters and after I finally got to the Zone in FireRed, I find something else in SoulSilver with 405 total encounters (372 in HGSS alone) Still haven’t caught anything yet lol - Furret is a target so I hope to find another and reclaim it

Pokemon SoulSilver is on a blue 2DS. On the screen is a shiny Furret in the Safari Zone

Soul Silver on the 2DS showing the Furret fled. It didn’t even shake by the way - lol

Earlier today, I found my first ever shiny of my first #SafariWeek !! Shame I couldn’t catch it, but 1282 encounters to already find one is surprisingly good!

A photo of a 2DS with Pokemon Soul Silver and the trainer staring down a shiny Spearow in the Safari Zone

Still Pokemon Soul Silver on a 2DS but the Spearow has fled. You can see that only one ball was thrown and I can also provide the context here that it shook three times, then broke out and ran.

[⭐🌟] Attack 1 for @gummycore.bsky.social of ker OC, Takeshi Hirata (I finished this on July 2nd) #toshiart

A athletic beanpole of a person who appears to be tripping on a banana peel. It's looking at the camera with a somewhat embarrassed look but it's fine - it's because of the kind of comedian (slapstick comedian) and show he's putting on. There also appears to be a slap stick falling down to hit him on the head. There are words, because it's meant to resemble a poster that reads "Takeshi Hirata Presents The Pain Magnet" with the hypothetical show going on from between July 1st to 31st, which is roughly the time of Art Fight. It's also telling people to book now, but you can take that as me suggesting if you're participating in Art Fight to draw this funny comedian.

I am definitely not late to post my Art Fight card and tell people that I'm going to be on Team Mystery because I've been trying to deal with character profiles more than anything else. Link to profile in replies

An Art Fight card that's featuring Team Mystery for user MochiHoshi also known as ToritheHoshi. I'll do Friendly Fires and I'll do Revenges although I don't know how many I'll be able to get done depending on how many attacks I get. I have work and I get tired easily but I'm gonna try. Though as much as I want to make a Mass Attack, that is so unlikely. The type of OCs I attack is usually just any OC I really wanna draw, I keep trying to make myself try new things.

My featured characters are a mirror clone (Marion), a dimension hopping alien (Tianyi), an accessory maker whose secretly a phantom thief (Piper), a roller derby who acts like an idol (Heartbeat!) and a mysterious magician (Enigmus Vox)

[⭐🌟] I decided that I was making the Art Summary base myself this year because I did not make nearly enough things to fill in all 12 months. But you know what - I like what I did manage to make - even the things I couldn't add onto here. #toshiart #artsummary2025

A horizontal image that's depicting a 2025 Art Summary with the base made by me, Tori the Hoshi. I organized all of this too. The only months that I have a finished piece I specifically wanted to highlight for various reasons are November 2025 (which had my favorite), January 2025, May 2025, July 2025 and December 2025. In the side of other various highlights are the two OC refs I made, the two character icons I liked quite a bit and the Bad Girlz doodle I did that I liked the most from those lineless doodles I did.

[⭐🌟] OC icons that I made for me and @thevoidofwinter.bsky.social 's OCs Lucien and Marion yet again. I started this in July-ish and then proceeded to not finish these until earlier this month. #toshiart #toshiocs

This is Lucien, he belongs to the void of Winter. He's part ferret as can be seen with the fact he has ferret ears and hands (or I guess the paws are of his hands). He's got light brown hair with blonde highlights. He's looking off to his left and is making a fun silly wink with his tongue sticking out a bit.

This is Marion, he belongs to me, Tori the Hoshi. He looks almost exactly like Lucien except he's more red and somehow even paler. He has dark brown hair with red highlights and eyes that have black sclera and red pupils. Their ears and hand also have darker fur. Oh yeah he also has glasses. They also look more tired in comparison to Lucien. It also looks like he's behind mirror glass though their hand is out and holding the frame.

I like this shitpost comic I drew based off of a tumblr post with me and @thevoidofwinter.bsky.social 's OCs Lucien and Marion to describe how they... 'met' I guess lol #toshiocs

A simple doodle comic with two panels but they are not marked with those panels.

In the first panel, a half-ferret guy drawn in blue (that's Lucien) looks tired and has his hand against his forehead. He's saying "I hope I don't have to face the personification of my repressed anger today". In the second panel, a version of him that looks red and has the front of his hair mirrored and black sclera in his eyes (Marion) is standing saying "Hey". Lucien looks nervous, going "No fucking way"

A photo of a 3DS and a 2DS showing a Horde encounter. The 3DS shows a shiny Trevenant which has white bark and red/orange leaves compred to the regular brown bark and green leaves of Trevenant

A shiny hunt that makes me WISH I streamed because I also can hardly believe this Shiny Minior on Mt Hokulani in 24 random encounters - with Ultra Sun and Sun (12 each). Sun has the shiny charm, Ultra doesn’t and yet I got it on Ultra. Worthy Master Ball capture for a dream shiny #shinyhunting

A photo depicting a 3DS screen with Pokemon Ultra Sun where a wild Minior can be seen on screen. On the 3DS’ bottom screen is the Master Ball with the arrow pointed at Use. Something I considered really hard to use because I ALSO considered the Luxury Ball but I think Minior is the perfect Master Ball contender.

For Luxury, I’d have to bring out my Psyduck I was TRAINING by knocking out the Ultra Sun encounters. He’s only level 17. It wouldn’t go well.

Minior having been caught in the Master Ball

The screen asking if the player wants to give Minior a nickname, showing shiny Minior’s core confirming that yes - this is a shiny Minior

The 3DS sitting atop my shiny hunting journal/tally book. It’s showin Minior’s summary screen. Its nickname is Pitch Black after the Mountain Dew flavor. It has a Modest nature and likes to thrash about

On the page with the tallies, it says the hunt started on September 19th 2025 and now it’s September 20th 2025 (the in-game date is different by only one hour because I can’t be bothered to adjust my 3DS’ time each time DST happens). The shiny rate for Ultra Sun is 1/4096 while Sun is 1/1365 because it has the shiny charm. The written text underneath the 24 tallies reads “I found it on Ultra Sun at 24 total between the two games, full odds for Ultra Sun and in so few encounters???”

Today, I caught my second badge quest member. With 413 total REs attempted for Espurr and 415 SRs for Squirtle, Sentret’s the new member! And since that and Honedge were two other possible members I would’ve taken, I phased but I’ll still happily face Grant with a Furret! #shinyhunting

A photo of my 2DS, focusing on the Pokemon X where I was doing random encounters for Espurr. Instead, I got a male shiny Sentret! The 2DS is showing the battle scene along with the Staryu with Illuminate named Sirius

The summary screen of the shiny Sentret now named Marion, because when he’a a Furret that’ll be perfect with my OC. He has a Naughty nature and he’s mischievious.

A photo of the 2DS sitting on my tally notebook, only showing the page for the random encounters. Shiny Sentret is in Pokémon Amie. Underneath the tallies are the words “Phased on Sentret at 413 random encounters and 415 soft resets on Squirtle”. Next to it is the drawing of Sentret sparkling

I’d show the Squirtle tallies but I couldnmt get a good picture that also focused on the 2DS screen. But honestly, there’s nothing new to it.

The 3DS showing shiny Sentret aka Marion traded over to the Shiny Badge Quest file, with the French “Prends bien soin de Marion!”

I’m into shiny hunting again because I remembered my shiny bingo - but I did want to make progress in my badge quest …And also USUM SOS. The Elgyem line are my fav Gen V guys, and a SOS hunt was on the bingo sheet and guess what I got! Way earlier today, like close to midnight #shinyhunting

A photo of a 3DS screen showing a shiny Elgyem in a SOS battle on Pokemon Ultra Sun

The screen showing that Elgyem’s data will be added to the Pokédex because yes - I had JUST caught it for my dex. Actually, it’s not just the first time catching one for my dex but also my first time FINDING one.

The summary screen of the shiny Elgyem now nicknames Rassiell (which I got off of Fantasy Name Generator). The Date Met says that it’s on September 16th 2025 so really it was way earlier today. Like I think it had turned midnight. The nature is Mild and he likes to thrash about

A photo showing my tallies of SOS encounters along with a Beheeyem plush staring down. There’s notes about how many power points Elgyem at certain levels would have because I can’t use the Leppa Berry trick so I count them down. I tried to find a Harvest Phantump and got annoyed.

There are 110 encounters in total but admittingly, I might have miscounted? Only by one but regardless that’s close. There is a small drawing of an Elgyem near the top. Also the book is different because I have SOS tally encounters from Pokemon Sun in here. It felt right

I’ve been dealing with my Pokedex in Ultra Sun, and while levelling some Pokemon (since I also want to shiny hunt on this), I found an Inkay and did SOS shiny hunting on a whim. And it paid off after 45 encounters! Of course I had to evolve Inkay to our friend, Malamar! #shinyhunting

A photo of my 3DS showing my shiny Inkay nicknamed “Bestie”. She was caught at level 44 and in a pokeball. She has a Quirky nature, was met in the Poni Wilds, and is somewhat vain.

A photo of the 3DS showing Pokemon Refresh and Bestie the shiny Inkay

A photo of the 3DS, but flipped upside down to evolve Bestie the Inkay into a Malamar

The screenshot from Ultra Sun when you both first register a Pokemon and complete the page with that registration. So yes, the added benefit for me in evolving Malamar now is forever having the page have a shiny Malamar.

Managed to defeat Viola (or Violette as she is called in French) and for my second badge quest member, I’m dual hunting but in… an interesting way. I’m going for either Squirtle from soft resets or a shiny Espurr (but any Route 6 mon will do). Whatever shines first will be my next member

A photo showing a 3DS and a 2DS. Both of them have Pokemon X. The 3DS on the left shows the protagonist in Professor Sycamore’s lab receiving a Squirtle (or Carapuce in French) while the 2DS shows a wild encounter with an Espurr

Me when I don’t consistently soft reset for seven months, and then suddenly remember I gotta lock in and get more soft resets in and?? Damn that’s less than my Poipole in Ultra Sun! How wonderful though - the badge quest can move forward! #shinyhunting #chespin

An image of me holding my 3DS playing Pokemon X with my shiny Chespin nicknamed Skip. Underneath it is the notebook I tally my soft resets in, showing that I started this in November 16th 2024 and ended September 7th 2025, and had a total of 284 soft resets. I also wrote down the odds (1/4096) and drew a small Chespin smiling in the top corner of the page

A photo of my 3DS , again with Pokemon X showing the summary screen for Skip the Chespin. Everything is in French, because it felt fitting to play it in French for Kalos.

Skip is “pudique de nature” which is Bashful nature. His characteristic is “un peu vaniteux” which translates to “somewhat vain”. I would be too if I were a shiny Chespin

Another photo of Pokemon X on the 3DS showing Skip the shiny Chespin in battle against Shauna’s Grenousse (Froakie in French)

A full-body reference of my OC, Ridley. He's related to me and my friend Winter's OC world. The lizard parts of him are based off of a lizard called a green striped tree dragon. He's a fairly bulky looking guy with black hair that's kind of messy and tied back. He has sunglasses on but underneath he has orange eyes.

His outfits consists of a black t-shirt with a pattern that resembles teeth, and a purple jacket over it that's unzipped. He black jeans are ripped around the knees, and he has knee-length greenish gray boots. He's also wearing finger-less gloves. In this reference, he's looking to the side and grinning.

A picture that depicts an angel looking girl with light blue hair that reaches her shoulders. She's standing in a grassy landscape inspired by the music video of Something Comforting by Porter Robinson but with other differences - for examples many little yellow flowers, a rock, and a piano that she's standing near presumably playing (a shout out to Look at the Sky). Against the piano is a scribbly looking scythe and a yellow record disc. She seems to be staring at the screen behind her while smiling, which is depicting a sky with what look like electrical wires. Around the landscape is a dark background that has depictions of rain and lightning with the ground resembling water.

A lineless piece depicting a rabbit like creature with horns and wearing a yellow ruffled collar that's swinging around a rainbow-colored whip that has a star like flail at the end that's the closest to the camera. They're giving a wink and sticking their tongue out in a silly manner while doing so - likely performing something like a show.

They're standing on what looks like a rainbow, and surrounded by a pink sky with some clouds in the background. What look like flames also look like they're coming off of the whip.

My OC Chance, a guy whose got hair that appears segmented, a pair of headphones and a visor, posing and smiling towards the camera with one hand that would be on his side if I actually drew it, but his right arm is positioned that way, and his left arm is relaxed to his side. This is what I call the "Jerma pose", similar to that meme that goes "Sparkle on! It's Wednesday!"

In the first row are Trevenant in Pokemon X/Y, Darkrai in Brilliant Diamond but I could only find a screenshot from Platinum for the background, Tandemaus in Violet for my badge quest so I can finally move forward on it, Wooloo in Pokemon Sword and Pachirisu with the Destiny Mark in Violet

The second row has Pachirisu in Brilliant Diamond, with the Pokeradar, Chespin in Pokemon X also for my badge quest, three segment in Dudunsparce in Violet for the Year of the Snake, a legendary through Ultra Wormholes and female shiny Zorua in Violet for the disguise variation.

The third row has Swirlix in Sword, a legendary in Dynamax Adventure, Minior in Sun, Alpha Gallade in Legends Arceus, and Pachirisu in Y in the Friend Safari

The fourth row is Type:Null in Ultra Sun, Alpha Pachirisu in Legends: Arceus, any shiny in Legends Z A when it comes out, Giratina in Brilliant Diamond, and Elgyem in Ultra Sun

A 2024 Summary of Art depicting what the artist ( in this case, ToritheHoshi) thought was the best thing they drew for each month of 2024.

January - A lineless doodle of a star creature that's staring up
February - Something apart of a collaborative thing with friends, where I worked entirely in lineless. There's a woman menacingly staring at you and she has her clawed hand on the hilt of a sword.
March - Roleplay "body art" but the character is okay. The character's head is shown with their hat trying to sit near their head
April - Another lineless of one of my OCs. He seems serene and is tilting his head. From the crop, there's a flower peeking in at the top
May - Another lineless piece of one of my OCs. The character looks kind of miserable, I will not lie.
June - A transparent for an OC reference of my OC Kanon (they have heterochromia with their right eye blue and left eye brown)
July - An Art Fight piece depicting a sinister looking man with bright blue eyes, smiling menacingly
August - A Chandelure gijinka whose singing into a microphone
September - A Dynamax Golisopod looking angrily towards something
October - A very red piece based off of a Mashup Week Megamix fan track featuring MAD/EON
November - A Mashup Week Megamix stock in my style depicting Snail-chan
Decmber - A lineless piece of the Pokemon, Ribombee

A variation of the astronaut meme - where two astronauts are in space looking over at the planet. One of them is kind of surprised while the one behind him has a gun.

For this, it's related to Madeon so astronaut staring at the Earth surprised is saying "It's all Madeon?" The astronaut behind him, has Madeon edited onto him while having the text "Always has been" nearby.

I was thinking about my stupid five second to 1 minute edits and I can show you guys the combination of Pokemon YouTubers + Mashup Week Megamix I did with THIS.

A screenshot from Pokemon YouTuber Johnstone's video "I Caught Every Shiny Johto Pokemon" that depicts a Wanted poster where the criminal is wanted for multiple warrants, grand theft auto, cyber bullying, pyramid schemes, assault with a deadly weapon, vandalism, presumed radiation, wire fraud, bribery, debit card fraud, DUI, extortion, hate crimes, money laundering, racketeering and the final notes reading "Greem"

In the place of the original image (which was a Stantler screenshot from the anime colored to resemble its shiny), is the stock of Ace from Powerpuff Girls and Gorillaz as depicted in Mashup Week Megamix.

There's little bits of the stream chat from the livestream in the top right corner, where one user is using a frowny face emoji and one of them is writing "GREEN" in all-caps with the letter characters spaced out from each other.

3 - 2NDCHNC3 "Chance" (he/him) An aspiring DJ whose constantly working on remixing and sharing the songs that he's editing or making himself. He comes off as a pretty cool and chill guy - but it's not hard at all to fluster him. Also surprisingly clumsy #toshiocs

A full-body reference drawn by me, Tori Hoshi, depicting Chance whose putting on a cool pose and keeping his visor glasses up with one hand. The other hand is resting in the pocket of his pants.

An Art Fight attack by Rockstar The Artist on Art Fight. He also has a cool pose here

An Art Fight attack by flareon forever, depiciting Chance performing a show with two turntables at his hands

A commission I got from Bee Buzz, that depicts Chance dancing around and throwing and catching a record. He fails to catch it in the end of the little comic, causing it to crack a bit a she stares at it embarrassed.

Real L moment for him.

[⭐🌟] Stock icons of my Top 3 of #MWMegamix drawn in my own style! It was a bit of a trend in the official server - and I finally did it now - especially to test a new brush. This was fun to do, I'm definitely drawing my other four mains. #toshiart #mashupweekmegamix #mashupweek

Stock icons from Mashup Week Megamix but drawn in the artist's style (that being me! Tori Hoshi!). They're all placed on a purple gradient background of some kind. The characters are Scatman & Hatman (Lou Bega), MAD/EON and Snailiens

I've been trying to learn how to 'make my own pen' in CSP as it were and I'll be honest - I have no clue what I'm doing. From adjusting settings I... think I can more easily go between thinner and thicker lines? I THINK that's what I've done even if the lining here looks like. Off

A screenshot of a work in progress depicting Snail-chan and Snailien as in Mashup Week Megamix. This is reflecting their stock icons but they are done in the artist's style

The lines on Snailien (to the right) are much thicker compared to how it looks for Snail-chan. This is genuinely a skill issue on the artist's part in not being able to control the way he presses his tablet pen. Also I guess I just see Snailien as rounder.

[⭐🌟] You know - it's been a while since I posted any doodles. I've been thinking about chibi styles since I want to try to refine that style in my own style again - and remembered the Snailiens doodle sheet I did in a chibi style last year, related to MWM #MWMegamix #MashupWeekMegamix

Many doodle of Snail-chan and Snailien as depicted in Mashup Week Megamix. There's a series of practices where Snail-chan especially has a lot of different expressions, from joyous, sleepy, and a little nervous. Snailien is mostly smiling, and one in particular is based off of one of the lore posts with an arrow pointing at her saying "Snailien jolly as ever"

Other doodles show Snail-chan sleeping, Snailien staring at a Minior, the Snailiens in their space ship, and a partial redraw (just a half-body) of their official render

Starting my Pokemon X Badge Quest while also practicing my French ✌️

A photo of a 3DS depicting Pokemon X’s prompt that asks what language you want to play the game in. The person currently has it set to French

A photo of Pokemon X’s title, where the subtitle is French and reads “Appuyez sur Start” for the player (me)

A photo of Pokemon X depicting the trainer card of trainer Toshi. The main point is to show everything is in French to show how serious they are about this. They are playing as the male character, and the No ID is 23331.

The fields read “Nom” (name), “Argent” (money), “Temps de jeu” (time played) and “Début de l’aventure” which is for November 16th 2024

2 - Piper Kauffman (she/her) A dorky and peppy accessory maker. She runs an online store where she sells handmade accessories and takes commissions. Has a love for old-school aesthetics combined with more modern uses and isn't hiding anything past that, surely!

Drawn by my friend 8uny (Boone). A girl with brown hair that's tied into a high raised ponytail. She's wearing a purple vest over a short sleeved beige blouse (that's called a blouse right--) with puffy sleeves and tan brown pants. She has a dark brown utility belt, oval framed glasses, a purple headband with a green butterfly situated on it and her pigtail is also tied with a ribbon. She's winking and grinning at the camera

A pencil brush lineless bust shot drawing of Piper - this time with a different outfit. She's still wearing a headband, this time with a charm that has a butterfly on a flower and her hair is tied in a low hanging pigtail. She's wearing a beige dress shirt underneath a light brown cardigan decorated with purple butterflies. She's also wearing a dark brown bag that goes over her shoulder. She's still smiling towards the audience. Also I drew this one

Art drawn by my friend Grayson (bonkonono on Bluesky) of Piper. She's wearing the same outfit in the first drawing but it also showcases her gloves where one of the fingers doesn't have the cover on, also her belt is not on.

The full outfit of the outfit described in the second image. This time though, you can see the extent of Piper's bag sa well that she's wearing dark brown shoes and tan-colored socks. She's waving towards the viewer.

Also I did not add eyebrows for some reason. I don't know why.

1 - Hermes Mercury (he/him) An energetic guy who streams eSports commentary w/ his VTuber avatar (which I don't have a full design of yet). He's well-known for his extensive knowledge on competitive tactics, eSports teams, and his entertaining streams. Though he loves to annoy viewers. #toshiocs

A 5'5" Afro-Latino guy with dyed blue hair 3C hair that almost reaches his shoulders. He always wears orange ladder shades and a speaker phone in his left ear. He has freckles and a small gap between his teeth. He's wearing a letterman jacket with a series of different patches on it, some depicting familiar logos like Super Smash Bros while some are more casual like a gay pride pin, a ghost and a skull and bones. He also has a light orange dress shirt underneath a white sweater vest and a blue and orange striped tie. His pants are black jeans with light gray patches near the knees and orange shoes.

He's posed in a cool confident manner.

A character icon for Hermes. It looks like he's announcing or yelling something.

As I work on trying to answer what I can with the other "One Like = One Question" post, I think this another fun way to keep the OC talk going here!

A white heart sits on a light purple background. The text reads "one like = i introduce one of my ocs"

// eyestrain [⭐🌟] More Mashup Week Megamix art, but based off of an unofficial mashup called THE KING AND SHIA made by Mayo (who idk if he has an account here). It's so fun to finally have this come to fruition #toshiart #mashupweekmegamix #mashupweek #eyestrain

An image that's mostly in red, depicting MAD/EON sitting on a throne that's based off of The Throne from his tours. He's posed like the thumbnail from Kanaria's KING except he's frowning (although that is a reference to the video as well). The crown that sits on his knee and he has his hand near is the crown worn by the Ruler of Everything - who appears in the sky as only their eyes, staring down. It seems their body has been corrupted to resemble the album cover of Madeon's EP 12122017/CELINE. You can also see Ruler's tie devoid of color hanging onto a broken pillar.

No thanks. I’m making my playlist the ways I usually do which is start, suddenly forget every bit of music I know or like that can fit, ignore it for a while before I eventually remember what music is an slowly add things then painstakingly sort the songs to be ✨thematic✨ as intended for me.

A screenshot from Spotify suggesting a beta feature to let AI make a playlist for you. The text underneath reads “I want a playlist that feels chill with a bit of dark cabaret.” Turn your ideas into playlists. There is a white button with black text suggesting you “Try It Out”
