Tori Nikulas 🐔🎀 Vtuber and Vartist @torinikulas.bsky.social · 25/08/2026

On youtube, people view streams like a video. You want your one topic of the video that you're expecting. Plus things Im good at (SEO, thumbnails, understanding analytics) matter a lot more on Youtube than Twitch. AND I HAVE SO MANY FUN MEMBERSHIP STREAM IDEAS!

110

Tori Nikulas 🐔🎀 Vtuber and Vartist @torinikulas.bsky.social · 25/08/2026

Throwables, changing assets, change change change. I wanna just do my one stream and focus on that and talk to chat. I really like the idea of one stream being for one topic and thats the thing you do. Can I do that on Twitch, yeah, absolutely, but the expectations are different.

110

Tori Nikulas 🐔🎀 Vtuber and Vartist @torinikulas.bsky.social · 25/08/2026

The other part is that I've been doing research for awhile and Twitch has a big community push for lots of change. There's advantages to changing your stream up several times during the same stream. Redeems and sound alerts are fun and almost an expectation.

110

Tori Nikulas 🐔🎀 Vtuber and Vartist @torinikulas.bsky.social · 25/08/2026

Twitch aint it right now. Part of this change is to focus on monetarizing my Youtube channel before the monetization requirements skyrocket in Feb 2027.

110

Tori Nikulas 🐔🎀 Vtuber and Vartist @torinikulas.bsky.social · 25/08/2026

* I'm not completely abandoning Twitch. I'll be there for collabs and stuff so feel free to keep your channel points! * I know this isn't going to make everyone happy, and that's okay. I understand there is still a massive preference for Twitch but I gotta do what works for me, and
