I’m in SoCal and it’s the same here. Bombarded with fearmongering No ads (and Yes on 41/42 ads) and I’ve not seen any outreach for Yes on 40 except texts. All the junk coming through the mail is No.

I don’t use my phone browser except to look things up so I always close the tab after except for a permatab I keep to calculate audio book progress since audible doesn’t show percentage. I also can’t stand to keep emails in my inbox. It all feels like the same sort of clutter and makes me anxious.

On my desktop I have 8-10 tabs open regularly, most of which are pinned tabs I used multiple times a day. I cannot stand to have more tabs than the width of the browser window and I don’t keep them open if I’m not using them.

It’s really not that different from evangelical thinking of ‘we don’t need to care about the environment/long term poverty solutions/etc bc Jesus is coming back any day and we’ll be in heaven anyway’. Everything about these guys is just putting a sci-fi spin on the worst sort of Christianity.

They cope just fine bc the act of changing one’s name is not actually the problem. It’s not that they actually have any difficulty using a new name in other situations, it’s specifically that they are resistant to it due to the change being gender related.
