I can believe that, given you still believe Man Utd are relevant 👍

May I, have the temerity to suggest that information from someone who doesn't know the difference between their and there might just be a tad unreliable ???

I really don't get the love for HBA such a wasted talent. Ginola for me.

Same experience here, and similar number of years - late 70's for me, (Packers) treat like family when we were out there.

Or in Ratcliffe's case, cutting for cutting's sake because that's his MO.

Thanks Chris, that makes sense - I recall a comment a while ago I heard from someone who worked there saying "we used to have one man bands, now we have teams" fwiw.

Interesting stuff Chris 👍 Do you know how many employees in total we now have? Suspect that's also grown significantly as all the folks on your chart (particularly the back office roles) will have staff.

Is it partly that the left hand leg of the "now" is compressed, there will be hierarchies within that, that aren't shown ?

Well yes, I know that, but fact is he was a good manager despite that, I was shocked and not a little pissed off when he left, the fact he shafted us should not disguise the fact that he was good and followed another good (legendary) one which was the premise of the opening post.

Graceland is a great visit, but surprisingly small !!! The displays do make you realise how huge a superstar he was though. When in Memphis try and do Sun studio tour 😉 (My boss down in the jungle room).

A bit further down on the list Joe Harvey (who should have some form of recognition at the ground IMO) followed by Gordon Lee, were good, well until Lee pissed off !!!

I don't believe he even wants to meddle tbh. He simply stated a fact that the UAE investment in Manchester had been a massive boost to regeneration, that of course was siezed on and twisted by Cunt Mason at the BBC and his ilk.

FFP is fine. The sale is booked when it happens, when the payments/instalments are made is just a question of cashflow.

What exactly have Newcastle done to football (apart from abide by all the rules) 🤷‍♂️ At least they don't have over a billion of debt.

Spurs'll be ok I think, their debt was taken out to build a revenue generating assett. Man U not so much, their debt is just ridiculous.

Ali McPherson @toonpack.bsky.social · 02/10/2026
Particularly when those rules are supposed to safeguard clubs from unscrupulous owners, whilst debt (the only real club killer) is completely ignored.

It's a definite problem but if they do just points deduct, the team that stays up benefits, which in itself isn't right. No easy answer.

Ali McPherson @toonpack.bsky.social · 02/10/2026
Vested interests could come into play, Prem clubs will probably want them relegated via points deduction, as it means one of them stays up. But, I doubt the championship clubs will want that as it very likely means one less promotion "golden ticket" next season. L2 I reckon would love to have them

It's a 100% stitch up by the RW press and Chris (cunt) Mason in particular to try and score points. An utter non-story to try and knock him down. He's not accepting millions from dodgy donors like a certain frog faced Russian assett.

Ali McPherson @toonpack.bsky.social · 02/10/2026
It's simply a Chris (cunt) Mason constructed attack line, this whole "PM said" nothing burger.

Fake income was a poor choice of words, I meant the rule breaking "additional" income.

Add in Villa and Forest while you're on, unable to spend what they can afford simply because of rules introduced solely to protect those who've already been through their "spend what they want" phase.

Not really, Rangers operated a tax avoidance scheme at industrial scale and then couldn't pay their bills so were liquidated. City will remain liquid. Even then, the tax issue (possible debt) here is way smaller than the tax collected on the rule breaking £830 Million income so will HMRC just 🤷‍♂️.
100
Ali McPherson @toonpack.bsky.social · 01/10/2026
Will HMRC be bothered about £12 Million or so when they collected circa £160 Mill in tax from the rule breaking additional income ??

Receiving income by breaking rules but then reflecting that income in your accounts is not false accounting though. False accounting is reporting income you didn’t receive or losses you didn’t suffer for example . They didn’t falsely account for it as far as I know.

Utter sensationalist rubbish, governmental interference in football governance is a major FIFA red line, and yes they're corrupt as hell but that is something they are red hot on (probably just so a government can't stop them being corrupt).
000
Ali McPherson @toonpack.bsky.social · 01/10/2026
There won't be criminal proceedings, yes they falsified financial returns but they inflated their income and will therefore have paid more tax than they should have so HMRC won't give a shit. What else is there of a criminal nature 🤷‍♂️ They broke sporting regulations, not the law, as far as I know.

Newcastle have steadfastly observed and followed the rules. It's nothing to do with "state owned" it's just some owners will act dodgy - see Chelsea/Abramovic for an example.

They tried, and lost in court, ...... to Man City. So now, Associated party transactions are allowed but they must be fair market value and signed off/approved by the Prem League.
