Did You Know: Harley Quinn was created by accident? According to Paul Dini: "specifically, in one episode the Joker had a plot where he needed a girl accomplice...And we thought, well, in the TV Shows, the villain usually had a moll with him. Why don't we make this character into something more?"

In the early 2000s Funimation often marketed YuYu Hakusho and Dragon Ball as a pair. While it makes sense, it always amused me to see realistically grounded-looking Yusuke next to the later Super Saiyan forms. [Found in the Prima Official Strategy Guide for Dragon Ball Z Budokai 2] #dragonballz

2018 - Toonami Airs Subs Rather Than Dubs - Simple, but confusing in the best possible way. A nice treat after several years of pranks that felt like Adult Swim were trying a little too hard.

2009 - Adult Swim Replaces The Night's Lineup With The Room - Classic bad movie excellence!

Toonami Absolution @toonamiabsolution.bsky.social · 01/04/2026

2004 - Shows Had Random Mustaches Drawn On The Characters - Sure, it is simple and juvenile, but there is something so wonderfully pure about this prank. It was cool seeing a network playing a silly game we played as kids as an official thing.

This is a repost of something @ArtOfDex3 posted on Twitter but it's too in this account's ballpark not to repost A Powerful Girls Movie Promotional sticker with a note asking Cartoon Network employees to put it on their car so they can attempt to promote the movie while running errands

A The Powerpuff Girls Movie sticker

"Dear Fellow Cartoon Network Employee:

With the launch of The Powerpuff Girls Movie, Cartoon Network has devised a plan to promote the movie in our hometown. Here's the deal:

We provide you with a lovely PPG Movie static cling, you clean your back window real good and stick it on. Then you drive around the city to places like Kroger, Panera Bread and Stone Mountain. Soon lots of people at red lights say, "Hey, lookie there! Let's go!" The end result - everyone goes to see the movie and all our hard work promoting it pays off.

Sounds good. Do it.
