I recently decided that Heresy 3.0 isn't really for me but wanted to build a final centrepiece model for my army before putting it on hiatus. This is my take on Mortarion Ascended for Horus Heresy, he's been reposed a fair bit and crammed onto a 50mm base. #warhammer #horusheresy #deathguard

One of my favourite recent models; a death guard land raider spartan. I felt like going old school with this one so I cracked out the old Chaos vehicle sprue courtesy of a kind donation from a fellow player. This is going to be a party bus for Mortarion and his Deathshroud

This guy is made out of components from literally 6 kits, a huge chunk of putty and sprue goo for gap filling. I had fun doing it but this is not an easy or economically sound way to make an army.

Thanks to personal stresses this year's been a slow start but I finally got the first of my ten extra Leman Russes primed. This one is my converted command tank, less its dozer blade and a suitable commander for the turret. I'll probably grab something from Bad Squiddo for the commander.

Pretty in pink My Dark Mechanicum Thanatar-Cavas sending a little warp-fuelled love down range. This was a really fun model to build and paint, mostly Dark Star blue steel with a diluted black Contrast paint over the top. #horusheresy #warhammercommunity #nerdlings

This was a really fun army to build, there's a lot of custom green stuff and some nice purchased resin pieces in here. The whole army is sponged or stippled with a range of greys from Vallejo, basically a 5-6 step progression of VMC black grey to medium sea grey 2/3
