Dude seems to forget he's in the entertainment business. Not the food or gas or water or power business. We spend money on entertainment when we choose and have money. If we choose not to, or don't have money to (i.e. high inflation) he's screwed. And with 80B debt load he's fucked.

Players bash heads in a CTE brain damage contest every week. They're always a problem. Whereas referees are supposed to be the professionals deciding what type of brain damage is allowed and what isn't. I feel bad, but part of the reason our insurance keeps going up is hospitals have to keep offsetting costs for people who can't pay. The many keep paying a bit more because the few can't pay a lot more.

I'll be the one to say it. Ohio state recruitment ranking was #4 or 5 from 2023-2025. Iowa was between #32-40. The talent gap was too wide and it was evident in the OSU game. For all Kirk Ferentz's successes developing players, successful seasons, and NFL ready prospects, dude still can't recruit.

I live in Iowa, so I don't have a dog in the fight, but if I was an Indiana resident, I would be mad. Every study that has ever been done about publicly financing any stadium has shown that the taxpayers get fleeced, shafted, exploited. I would rather the Bears play in Brazil than pay a nickel.

Cool story. Not buying it. Not sure what type of PM or where, but that salary is low for a PM in Iowa. Average child care cost in Iowa is about $1000/mo. A state with child care at $2500 (high end CA), will have much higher salaries. You don't need to make up a story when reality sucks.

I will give him credit for one thing: he didn't throw a staffer under the bus. He didn't create this whole presentation, but he could have thrown a staffer under the bus and say that he was given bad information. Now, if he doesn't fire the research staffers quietly, he's an even bigger joke.
