Stitches came out today and the surgeon says he's looking great! Cancer is likely to come back in a year or two but for now just gonna keep this guy happy and enjoy the extra time amputation has given us

Stanley is not phased at all. He is so much happier now that the leg is gone, I just have to worry about him being too playful. The pain meds haven't made him sleepy at all and his vertical is much better.

Had a little scare and went back to the ER because he went a day and a half without peeing. Got him back home and he finally decided to go. It's only been two days and he's already back in chill mode otherwise

Dropped Stanley off at the ER for monitoring tonight, get to take him home tomorrow. He'll eventually get used to the missing leg

Stanley hasn't had much time for his little bro while dealing with his illness. It's nice to see him cuddling with his buddy Brody today. Surgery is set for Tuesday

It's official, poor Stanley has to get his front leg amputated on Tuesday. Will have to then send the leg to a lab to figure out exactly what kind of tumor it is. Hopefully he can avoid radiation treatments afterwards

Still waiting to hear back from the surgeon about Stanley's impending amputation but for now he is snuggling on the couch and fairly content. Still praying the results come back and the growth is benign

Had to take this big guy to the ER because he's had a weird limp. They think it might be a big tumor on his leg. Everyone send their best wishes to Stanley (and my bank account)

One of the babies didn't make it but the other one is still hanging on. Some other doves made a nest outside my bedroom window but it looks like a slight breeze will knock it down. Hope this little guy makes it, I was so bummed finding their sibling on the ground

The mourning doves finally hatched their babies! My poor plant is probably going to die but it's so cool some birds thought my porch that frequently has cats on it was a safe spot. Luckily they're hanging far out of reach

Stanley and Brody. Brody is named after wrestler Brody King. I don't know how Stanley got the name but he was 5 when I adopted him and it's such a silly cat name
