A local Reform UK group are trying to argue that they would do a better job of managing the council. They've set-up a poster with a web address. They forgot to purchase the domain name! That address now goes somewhere else ...

Watching the Liberal Democrat Conference. My constituency of Taunton & Wellington were given the Penhaligon Award, having had the most successful recruitment and activity programme. Well done everyone, and here's to the next 12 months!

"Back channels"? Has he offered to kiss Trump's arse?

Not the organisers of the Prom. I believe that it was a group called ThankEU for the music.

UK Parliament is to debate rejoining the EU on Monday 12th Oct. It's only a debate, but the discussion will hopefully make the key points, and the Government will take notice.

Took the grandchildren to the playpark after school. There are some bramble bushes at the back. I picked a few and offered them to the boys. The younger one (just under 3) looked dubious. After tasting just one, he gobbled up as many as he could. He'll have very strange coloured poo tomorrow!

The Royal Navy had a submarine named HMS Thetis in 1939. One of my great uncles died on board. The vessel was recovered and relaunched as HMS Thunderbolt. About 15 years ago, I was working with a guy who had lost a great uncle on board Thunderbolt in 1943. Small world.

*Comforts. (Really need the edit function!) The videos were promoted as "featuring the voices of ordinary Bristol people."

50 years ago, Ardman Animation started producing their wonderful products. One of my favourites; the "Creature Conforts" series. youtu.be/ps9ujUwty1E?...

Organised by Danny Tommo. I've met him; thoroughly unpleasant individual.

Farage has always behaved as though the rules apply to everyone but him. These allegations against Reform look like the latest example. Lib Dem Cabinet Office spokesperson @lisasmartmp.bsky.social has written to the police and the electoral commission asking them to investigate.

Cream tea organised by Worle Lions Club at the Windsor Castle pub.
Traditional splits with jam, cream, a cup of coffee (and a glass of wine).

Woke up after about 3 hours sleep. Suddenly realised that there's a lunar eclipse due. Got outside just in time to see the start of it. Tiny little bit covered, expecting more in the next hour.

I did wonder. I knew a guy that ran a small business. Drove a number of top tier cars. Couldn't understand how he could afford it. Turned out he was "test driving" these vehicles, and hired them whenever he thought he needed to impress a client or supplier.

I worked in the Middle East for 2 years. I was back in the UK driving home along the M4 when it started to rain. I really, really wanted to get out of the car and just stand in it. In the end, stopped at the services, and just let it wash over my face.

One of my apps delivered a really odd advert. "Apply for American citizenship" Tried the ad feedback, but there was no option for "not a fecking chance sunshine"

It's such a shame that developers/ planners sometimes fail to recognise this, and don't make allowances to provide access to these public places as a way of improving health.

The OH came out of hospital just over a week ago. She's convalescing in a nursing home until she can put weight on her broken ankle. I'm taking her out for a spin around the local park. It's good for mental health. We've known for millenia that being out in natural surroundings is good

It actually took several days for the W Identity app to approve me, then for W Social to accept what was in W Identity. But I'm here now! Good morning to everyone. It's a bit cooler in Somerset, which is a nice change from the hot, dry weather we've had for the last 2 months!
