Kenny Atkinson says that Jaylon Tyson is "still not there" in terms of being ready to return. Adds that Tyson did play in some 3-on-3 this morning

Kenny Atkinson on Jarrett Allen's return: "I keep saying it, he's been the best rim protector in the NBA since the ASB... he's like a seven-foot goalie."

Game on the line, and James Harden is able to draw multiple defenders 30+ feet from the basket Donovan Mitchell catches with a full head of steam and a big advantage. And-one finish to (hopefully) seal the deal in NOLA

The Cavs keep reminding us that 99% of their problems are effort-based It's nice to see them flip a switch and dominate the 4th quarter. But it makes the previous three quarters more frustrating

Tony Pesta @tonypesta.bsky.social · 20/03/2026

Evan Mobley is officially attempting more FGAs per game in March than he did in October - back when the Cavs were first experimenting with increasing his usage October: 20.2 PPG (14.8 FGAs / 46.1% FG) March: 21.3 PPG (14.9 FGAS / 59.7% FG) Trending upwards

Cavs rank in Opponent Shooting Frequency this season vs (last year): Higher rank = more attempts 🏀 Corner 3PAs: 24th (27th) 🏀 Non-Corner 3PAs: 14th (4th) 🏀 All 3PAs: 17th (8th) They've never limited corner 3PAs. But the floodgates have opened up everywhere else

“Under promise, over deliver,” Kenny Atkinson said the Cavs are expecting Max Strus to stay true to himself today as he makes his season debut

The NBA's L2M report for Cavs/Magic confirms the ball was out of bounds on James Harden at the end of the game The only incorrect calls are a missed foul by Merrill and an uncalled travel by Bane

020

Tony Pesta @tonypesta.bsky.social · 12/03/2026

The Cavs are becoming visibly frustrated with the whistle tonight

010

Tony Pesta @tonypesta.bsky.social · 12/03/2026

The Cavs are better when Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen are together

071

Tony Pesta @tonypesta.bsky.social · 12/03/2026

James Harden has 16 points on 6-9 shooting in the first half Getting whatever he wants

010

Tony Pesta @tonypesta.bsky.social · 10/03/2026

James Harden is shooting 11-23 (47.8%) on catch-and-shoot 3Ps since joining Cleveland Getting some of the cleanest looks of his career

040

Tony Pesta @tonypesta.bsky.social · 09/03/2026

I also threw together some clips of Jaylon Tyson operating in the pick-and-roll He says he never played as the roller before this season. Seems to be learning fairly quickly! Great reads and plenty of tools to score from that zone (awesome touch on the floater!)

Tony Pesta @tonypesta.bsky.social · 09/03/2026

Put together some of Evan Mobley's best dunks this season Super impressive finishes here. Doesn't get enough credit for being a downhill threat

041

Tony Pesta @tonypesta.bsky.social · 08/03/2026

Bryant has been very helpful this season but this is where you really miss Jarrett Allen and the ability to stagger him with Mobley There’s value in getting 48 minutes of elite center play

120

Tony Pesta @tonypesta.bsky.social · 08/03/2026

Okay, the Thomas Bryant green light might need to turn yellow lol

020

Tony Pesta @tonypesta.bsky.social · 04/03/2026

Jaylon Tyson says this is the first time in his life he's been the roller in PNR scenarios, but Donovan Mitchell sat him down and showed him film on Royce O'Neal earlier this season to help build that dynamic

Tony Pesta @tonypesta.bsky.social · 04/03/2026

Schroder gets to the rim so quickly, it's a lot of fun watching him go 0-100 MPH on those drives

070

Tony Pesta @tonypesta.bsky.social · 04/03/2026

That looked like a great contest from Duren, just a better shot from Mobley

020

Tony Pesta @tonypesta.bsky.social · 04/03/2026

This has been a strong game from Jaylon Tyson. Game-high 18 points on 7-13 shooting

050

Tony Pesta @tonypesta.bsky.social · 04/03/2026

If Keon Ellis is on the court a ball is either being blocked or stolen

071

Tony Pesta @tonypesta.bsky.social · 04/03/2026

A few Thomas Bryant minutes feel borderline necessary against the Pistons. They just need his size/toughness in this matchup

031

Tony Pesta @tonypesta.bsky.social · 04/03/2026

Evan Mobley is starting to look like Evan Mobley again That spinning dunk was filthy

080

Tony Pesta @tonypesta.bsky.social · 01/03/2026

Cavs hang on and win in Brooklyn Sloppy performance that shouldn't have been close. But I thought Evan Mobley continued to find his groove. 17 points and 13 rebounds

Sam Merrill alley-oop to Jarrett Allen just hits different after their last podcast lol

070

Tony Pesta @tonypesta.bsky.social · 01/03/2026

Keon Ellis is an absurd defender First game back from a broken finger. He has 5 blocks and 3 steals in 28 minutes

0101

Tony Pesta @tonypesta.bsky.social · 01/03/2026

It feels like good things are happening every time Mobley has the ball. I'd like the Cavs to really lean into that, for a change

070

Tony Pesta @tonypesta.bsky.social · 01/03/2026

James Harden is on triple-double watch 20 points, 9 rebounds, and 7 assists with 10 minutes left in the game

071

Tony Pesta @tonypesta.bsky.social · 01/03/2026

Credit to Brooklyn, they’re playing great defense But the Cavs offense really shouldn’t be struggling this much

Dennis Schroder is rapidly entering himself into the Cavs Role Player HOF

260

Tony Pesta @tonypesta.bsky.social · 28/02/2026

Solid first half for the Cavs The offense was a bit clunky, which is to be expected with so many creators/shooters out But they defended well and have managed to do enough on offense to stay in front

040

Tony Pesta @tonypesta.bsky.social · 26/02/2026

Jarrett Allen nearly ties the game at the buzzer, but the ball was still in his hands Heart breaker but a phenomenal effort from the Cavs

“Once he’s making shots it’s over, because defensively he can guard 1-5,” James Harden is a Dean Wolf believer

Tony Pesta @tonypesta.bsky.social · 25/02/2026

James Harden finishes with zero FTAs for just the fifth time since 2021

061

Tony Pesta @tonypesta.bsky.social · 25/02/2026

This wasn't the most efficient game from Harden or Mitchell, but they kept constant pressure on New York's defense to contain them, and that opened gaps for everyone else to attack Still, Cleveland's own defense led the way tonight

0110

Tony Pesta @tonypesta.bsky.social · 25/02/2026

The Cavs have done an excellent job packing the paint and funelling the ball to NYK's weaker shooters Josh Hart is 1-7 from deep. Jose Alverado is 0-3. The Knicks overall are shooting 5-27 (18.5%) from downtown

080

Tony Pesta @tonypesta.bsky.social · 25/02/2026
