For anyone interested in trying paper piecing, it's not as bad as it might seem. Fabric pieces are placed on the blank side of the paper. Holding your paper against a light helps. You pin on the side with your sew lines. The numbers tell you the order to sew pieces. Press after sewing. #quiltsky

A piece of paper with shapes and numbers in the shapes is held up to a light showing a piece of fabric covering the shape labeled number one. This is a technique called Foundation paper piecing that's used in quilting.

A series of geometric shapes labeled one through five is printed on a piece of paper. There are pins through the corners of the square labeled one at the center of the paper. This is a technique called paper piecing and is used in quilting.

A square of light green has two triangles over the edges, each triangle clearly has two pins in it. These triangles will be sewn to each opposite end of the square as part of a quilting technique called Foundation paper piecing.

Here's a pair of matching baby quilts with designs from children's books that I made to go to some newborn twins. The patterns for these blocks are available for free on my website and at @fandominstitches.bsky.social! #quiltsky

Now you, too can sew a quilt based on the "Old Man Yells At Cloud" meme! ☁️

A hand holding a news article titled "Old Man Yells At Cloud." The article is accompanied by a picture of an old man yelling at a cloud and shaking his fist at it.
