Season Cycle: Autumn, by Ed Herbers

Slowly making my way through some recent releases. "Season Cycle : Autumn" by @herbersmusic.bsky.social is a great final installment in the Season Cycle series. Really captures the slower mood of the season (at least now that my kids are grown 😄). Collect all 4! herbers.bandcamp.com/album/season...

The woman with the tambourine is a nice touch.

Infloresce Vol. 3 - Aphrodisiac, by Infloresce Records

The new compilation album from @infloresce.com is fantastic. A wide range of styles. One that stood out to me was "Becoming" - mostly because I think it would make a GREAT theme song for a Love Boat reboot! I do suggest getting the PDF "liner notes" infloresce.bandcamp.com/album/inflor...

Got my anti-MAGA shots today. Ounce of prevention, etc.

Sitting in your armchair, surrounded by a thick cloud of smoke, you’re deep in thought, staring into space, when suddenly an idea pops into your head : it’s elementary! Well, musically speaking, how does that sound? New theme is #SherlockHolmes 🔎

"Some days, I don't fit in my own head" #noAI #artSky #OriginalArt

A man sits backwards in chair, arms folded across the back of the chair. Classic studio pose. He wears a blue button down shirt and brown herringbone sport coat. His head is missing. There is a circle where his head should be. Over top, a blurred, distorted image of a head clearly does not fit in the space allowed - like it is the wrong jigsaw puzzle piece.
A white border frames the entire piece. The title is at the bottom.

This kinda got buried under Bandcamp Friday, but the final installment of my Season Cycle series is up for pre-order and releasing on Sept 22 (Autumnal Equinox)! It's all melancholy instrumental music that conveys my feelings about this time of year. Details in the thread!

Bass (and cello) played at the top of its range has a really neat tonal quality to me. Fun idea to mimic the descent.

Yesterday, I opened the fridge to get something. I saw bottle I didn't recognize. By the time I had slaked my curiosity as to its identity, I had forgotten what I was actually looking for.

I've been showered with ads about a chamber orchestra doing ABBA by candlelight 🤷‍♂️

The ritual is hard to break.
