Wild especially given that WI Dems are supposedly on the verge the 1st trifecta since 2010 (seems very promising) Crowley seems to be underperforming a bit, but I doubt he'll have too much issue (polling is soft in the upper midwest tho). Weed legalization and medicaid expansion on the table there!

Similarly, using national GCB here is imprecise: no reason to believe that ME and TX are having the same reaction to the Trump presidency. With two generic candidates, I suspect TX would be experiencing more backlash than ME, since the backlash is strongest among Latinos and Non-college whites

A weird aspect of this election is that none of the high-profile races look to me like they have the makings of a presidential caliber candidate in them. (Of course this is biased because the one with a presidential caliber candidate is no longer competitive because he's good)

I think, depending on your definition of the Midwest, this is grossly unfair/the viewpoint of someone not from here. IA narrowly is pretty quiet, but basically every surrounding state has great history and wild legends, from the Northwoods, to the remains of Bleeding Kansas, to Lewis and Clark...

Serious Trouble's episode makes me think the case, if there ever was one, is irretreivably tainted now, which means it will fester even worse; recipe for unrest. Cornell, for their part, can and should pursue non-legal remedies/reforms (like Frat crackdowns)

I don't follow Israeli Politics. How stable is the opposition coalition? Like, I think Together-YB-Dems-Yashar in principle makes sense, but polls suggest they need Hendel and Ra'am on board. Hendel, Bennett, and Abbas find common ground? And from a foreigners perspective, what changes then?

MS and LA haven't voted R+35 in a long time (LA only once, in 1972, MS in '72 and '64). MS is usually R+ high teens (2024 R+22), and LA is usually R+20. It's true they've polled closer this year, but that means they've been like R+5 or so

But even then, does methane gas export increase global emissions? If it takes coal (to a lesser extent, oil) off of European grids, then emissions (and certainly pollution) certainly would decrease, no? I get why we may not want to "lock in" future stranded assets, but this point seems complicated
