Hanging in at age 76. Retired now after working in Pharmaceutical, Nutritional and Environmental Technology Services. The last two years have been a bit on the rough side. It's noticeable when you see your doctors more than you see your friends. Still here

In 1980 my wife and I visited some friends on the Olympic Peninsula. It was a month after Mt. St. Helens violently erupted. One of the days we took a day trip to Mt. Ranier. It was clear in the early part of the day. Later on it did get cloudy.

In 1970 Walt Kelly did one of his POGO comic strips for the first Earth Day. It was the famous: We have met the enemy... In a sense we can translate this to what is happening today with the Reign of the MAGA kings and princes. In a sense Trash is still Trash.

We have these miniature iris blooming every early Spring along our front walkway. Ours are bright dark blue in color.
These were photographed along our front walkway 3-18-2025. Welcome Spring.

I think the answer is in our past. In 1970, when I was 20 years old, Walt Kelly wrote a comic strip call POGO. His most famous strip said "We have met the enemy, and he is us". I think this says it all.
Walt Kelly wrote this strip for Earth Day in April of 1970. It also describes the political state of our Country today.

Here is a photo of one of our Chrysler Imperial Tea Roses. They are one of the more fragrant of the tea roses.
This is a rather fussy rose to grow, but once it adjusts, it has some of more fragrant, velvety blossoms of the tea roses. We used to have Mr Lincoln, but it didn't survive. It was about a foot from this Chrysler Imperial. Mr. Lincoln was a slightly darker rose, but just as fragrant.

We have planted these Begonias in pots for many years now. We didn't expect that the seeds that they drop germinate the next Summer and new plants start to grow. We live in SE PA in USDA Hardiness Zone 7a. They have to be repotted for the next year, because they are too small to do much.
These are begonias that germinated from the seeds of last year's plants, that we planted in pots. This happens to be in our front walkway. They need two years to grow enough to pot for outside, so they must be transplanted into small pots to over Winter inside.

I live in SE part of PA. My voting district was in between the infamous Goofy Kicking Donald Duck voting district. This was Gerrymandering taken to it's worst shape.
This is the infamous Goofy Kicking Donald Duck Gerrymandered Voting District. It no longer exists after 2018.
