Citizens of Bluesky! I #thrifted these shorts. What the hell does the sizing on this mean? 36/46? They are not adjustable. I am a 38 - 40 around my macho waist. They are a bit snug, but won't be this summer. I'm dieting... I mean "on an eating program" to "cut" for man-hoochie short summer take 2

The tag and sizing label in a pair of short pants. In a big font it reads 36/46. Below that in a smaller font it gives the inseam as 9 and again in some other languange, probably Spanish, it givdd 23. I can safely assume that's 9 inches and 23cms for the Spanish speakers.
