It sounds good, Jerry, but what if I want to have a meganightnap during the day? I'd feel silly telling people I was having a daymeganightnap? We're going to need to solve this before the first round of investments.

I think a lot of men fear women without even allowing themselves to realise that. They never let themselves really get to know any women as people. Then they're unhappy. Then they blame women.

This feels quite scoldist? Those of us with no discernible sense of humour are able to like people too. (I say 'like', really I mean 'tolerate'. No. 'Abide'?. 'Disapprove of less' is maybe it?)

I'm kindof a sucker for the 'Die Hard on a...' subgenre in general.

Directed by the brilliant @racheltalalay.com. (Who's also a really interesting person to follow if you're into film and tv and how stuff is made.)

I'm itching to know if 13,556 is what we all think it is. (I was certain before I saw 13,554, and now I'm doubting myself.)

I also think Bruno and a non-exhausted Zubimendi, mean we're likely to have a greater and more consistent level of service to our attackers. And I'd expect Vic to kick on a bit too in his second season in the prem. Early signs with Tzolis look positive too. Plenty of reason for optimism imho.

They work fine as standalones, but there is definitely added depth if you play them all (Think of it like watching the Indiana Jones films.) The first is easily the weakest (still fun), with each one there is a noticeable jump in depth/quality. See how you get on. As you say, you can skip ahead.

.....Especially assuming you played the remake of the first TLOU(?). But Uncharted 4 and The Lost Legacy are more modern and comparable, and might scratch that itch. (Still worth playing the originals imho. They're genuinely good, get better as they go along, and give the newer ones more impact.)

....different types of games, and different in tone. The storytelling quality, world-building, character work etc is still there, so they are probably the closest thing. But the first three are older games, and while they held up well, they show their age compared to the TLOU games....

HaHa! You're one of us now. Once you have played TLOU, you will spend the rest of your days chasing that experience and it really doesn't exist elsewhere. Those games are unicorns. As you say, Uncharted is also Naughty Dog, and while different types of games...

That's essentially the entire relationship between us and the French. We both love and are offended by the very concept of each other. Like siblings.

I think it's ok to block someone who responds in this way. Their position appears to be that while sad/serious things are happening, no one should ever talk about fun/joyful things!!? It's hard to believe that it's said in good faith(?), but in many way, it's actually worse if it is.

Now, I wasn't there, so I can't say for definite if this conversation did, in fact, take place. But when I mentioned it to Genghis Khan at brunch just now, he seemed skeptical.

The fact that they're trying to frame it as 'consumer preference' and 'retail trends' when they've done everything possible to push people into not buying physical, is especially galling.

Yes, I think both things are true. They were sloppy and naive defensively in key moments in the first half, but they did also show some fight and spirit, and produced some good moments too. Disappointing, but not a capitulation, and certainly not the disgrace some are painting it as.

He's so egregiously, comprehensively and transparently awful that merely perceiving this glaring reality really isolates you from all the people who can't/won't see it, too. In their tolerance of him, they become something completely unrelatable and fundamentally 'other'. It's incredibly depressing.

These dudes are extraordinary. So much effort into analysing all the ways that they believe women fall short, not one joule of energy expended on considering the possibility that they themselves might be a colossal dickhead.

It speaks well of you that you are giving him that much credit. I think this might be more of a case of 'It is difficult to get a man to understand something when he finds it really difficult to understand things.'

By scoring highly skilful goals that are difficult to emulate, Arsenal are setting others up for failure and lowering the quality of the game on a global level. Disgusting.

Yep. Definitely more comfortable to think that the reason you believe the stuff that most people reject is because you're 'edgy' and 'interesting', and 'do your own research' than to consider that you might be stupid, hateful, ignorant and frozen in emotional adolescence.

'We shouldn't normalise this framing' = 'this much anger and energy.'? Are you 'spending anger and energy' replying to me right now? I presume you only ever comment on existential matters? Wouldn't waste time chastising people over comments about A.I. actresses you happen to disagree with?

'and this time SHE's released a pop music video, where SHE sings about the backlash to HER initial.' Describing what 'she' is doing, like 'she' is a being with agency, is not 'just how you write things'.

Quotation marks or not. It's not an actress. It's code. We shouldn't normalise this framing.

Transphobia is a cancer of the heart and mind. It is a useless fear, based on ignorance and cruelty. Trans people are not responsible for a single one of the problems we face. Do the world a favor and grow the fuck up.

I can't remember the last time I was this very specific combination of nervous and excited for a movie. I've never liked the idea of anyone remaking or re-imagining it. It's one of my all-time favourites. But I also love your work enough to know what's possible here. So for once, I'm hopeful.

As much as I love this franchise, this is the first one since the original that I haven't bought at launch. Having experienced them on #PSVR2, there's no going back for me.

Yep. Extraordinary talent. Great singer/writer/rapper/lyricist and musician. I'm assuming you've seen them, but in case you haven't, The Jenny and Screech trilogy and Money Game Part 3, are pretty special also.

PSVR2 please!!! These games are made for VR. It's their ultimate form. Would happily pay an upgrade fee. After playing 7, Village and 4 on PSVR, it would be really heartbreaking if this one is flat only.

I know someone who's told me they're a 'centrist' for about 40 years now. Given how much the political topography has shifted in that time, what this steadfastness tells me, is that their 'centrism' has never been about what they believe, it's been about what they need others to believe about them.

I love all the reviews that are basically 'yeah, they're an incredible visual experience, full of wonder and groundbreaking spectacle BUT....', and I'm like 'SOLD.' For the price of a cinema ticket, that right there is more than enough. (I actually think there's more to them, but the point stands.)
