For posterity, this is the thread I was reacting to
Screenshot of this bluesky post: https://bsky.app/profile/threnody.northsky.social/post/3mfn4epbdas2r, in which they argue that Newsom saying Dems should be "less prone to spending disproportionate amount of time on pronouns, identity politics. More focused on tabletop issues" is an argument to not support transgender issues

UPDATE: I had the wrong book. The quotes I pulled are from an adult-facing book. But yes, this one from Scholastic is the same stuff: numerology/horoscope crap about manifesting. Listed as non-fiction. "Surround yourself with 111 when you want to achieve a major goal"
Picture of inside of the children's book "Angel Numbers with Necklace", with text that reads: "Special Days & Times: The first and eleventh days of each month; January 1; January 11; November 1; November 11. Planet: 111 is associated with the Sun, which symbolizes confidence and energy. Try This: Surround yourself with 111 when you want to: achieve a major goal, boost your own confidence, grow as a person"

It's sabotage. From the OSS Simple Sabotage manual: - Give lengthy and incomprehensible explanations when questioned - Be as irritable and quarrelsome as possible without getting yourself into trouble - Cry and sob hysterically at every occasion, especially when confronted by government clerks
Excerpt from OSS Simple Sabotage manual: "General Devices for Lowering Morale and Creating Confusion

Give lengthy and incomprehensible explanations when questioned.
Report imaginary spies or danger to the Gestapo or police.
    Act stupid.
Be as irritable and quarrelsome as possible without getting yourself into trouble. "Excerpt from OSS Simple Sabotage manual: "Cry and sob hysterically at every occasion, especially when confronted by government clerks."

Please let it go, friend. We all have better things to do than pick a fight online, especially with people who are clearly our allies.

Right out of Simple Sabotage: - Give lengthy and incomprehensible explanations - Act stupid - Be as irritable and quarrelsome as possible without getting yourself into trouble Here, Ron Johnson sabotages Congressional oversight of the justice system

Straight out of the Simple Sabotage manual: - Cry and sob hysterically at every occasion, especially when confronted by government clerks. Here, Pam Bondi sabotages public oversight of her job performance.

Classic sabotage. This is right out of the OSS "Simple Sabotage," which was used against Hitler's Nazis: - Pretend that instructions are hard to understand - Snarl up administration in every possible way - Make mistakes or omit requested information - Misroute materials
Screenshot from OSS, the relevant substance of which is reflected in the text of this post (it is VERY tedious to transcribe from a bad PDF, please forgive me)

Foreign oligarchs. At least, that's what I learned from TV:
Parody of opening title card from the TV show Law & Order, which reads: "Treason & Corruption. In the Trump Administration, the People are oppressed by two separate but equally important groups: foreign dictators, who purchase favorable policies to weaken America and enrich themselves; and domestic oligarchs, who undermine democratic institutions to maintain their political power and fortunes."

If Ring's "Search Party" feature is so awesome, why hasn't Ring found Nancy Guthrie or the people who took her? I mean, the guy was captured on her doorbell camera, so we know he's not invisible.
Two frames of video captured from the doorbell camera of recently abducted Nancy Guthrie, showing a masked and armed individual at her door at night, moving a plant in front of the camera

Reminds me of that time a GOPer joked that bad weather is like rape: "If it's inevitable, just relax and enjoy it." The new pharaohs are going to have an utterly ghastly sense of humor that would make Hitler blush, and they'll be proud of it.

Being a fan of an artist who is on the right side of history is not a political act that helps the right side of history prevail. It's usually the opposite, because being a fan requires sending money to your oppressors, who always reinvest that money in building tighter manacles for you.
Why resist the system if you can game, watch Netflix, and distract yourself on social media platforms? Moreover, the system, via Al, knows better than you what you need next. The Amazon algorithms will give you recommendations. No need to think—not even to make your consumer choices or give con-sent. Technofascism does not need to force people or create fear. Dominated through pleasure and convenience

The FBI has essentially always been led by a Republican, even when Democrats made the appointments. Here's a chart I made of every single day of the FBI's existence. That tiny blue spot was a temporary appointment. The FBI is a GOP organ.

We have been herded down this path
"The great political transition of the past 50 years, driven by corporate marketing, has been a shift from addressing our problems collectively to addressing them individually. In other words, it has turned us from citizens into consumers. It’s not hard to see why we have been herded down this path. As citizens, joining together to demand political change, we are powerful. As consumers, we are almost powerless." quote by George Monbiot

Rupert Murdoch has.
Political cartoon showing ancient, wrinkly media mogul Rupert Murdoch cynically warning a white laborer that a dark-skinned man seated at their table is eager to steal the white laborer's cookie. On the table, the white laborer's dinner plate holds a single cookie, Rupert Murdoch's planet holds a mountain of cookies, and the dark-skinned man has neither a cookie nor even a plate.

I gotta stay away from liquor the next few days or I will succumb to the desire to necro every thread where I was mocked for saying that consumer biometric security is no protection against the courts. So instead I will share this, from a philosophy paper about technofascism:

Jeff Bezos' captive newspaper (WaPo) refused to publish this cartoon. John Roberts decided that money is speech, and that means only money speaks, and only money can speak.
Cartoon depicting Jeff Bezos, Soon Shiong, Sam Altman, and Mark Zuckerberg, along with Mickey Mouse, offering bags of money to, and prostrating themselves before, a massive statue of Donald Trump on a pedestal.

Hijacking the courts is how they subjugated the justice system so they could install Trump. Now their conspiracy of kept judges is doing it again.

These things are INTIMATELY connected If you let mafia types skate, they will use their wealth to secure power, and then they will use that power to raid the Treasury like the warmed-over bank-robbers they are, and that will destroy your free-lunch-for-kids program E.g.: Donald Trump in the USA
Screenshot of the Toronto Star's best-of page for November 21, 2024, with two articles circled in red. One reads, "Defence lawyers have argued that their clients may have acted 'technically' outside the rules -- but that's how the construction industry works." The other reads, "160,000 Ontario kids will get a chance to eat for free under new school food program"

The FBI has been run almost exclusively by Republicans since its conception Here is a chart I made last year showing every day of FBI history, color-coded by the party of its Director: red = R, blue = D, gray = Independent (Hoover is officially grey but was very much a Republican)
Calendar showing every day of the FBI's history, color-coded to show the Director's party affiliation. The earliest 40% are all grey (Independent), and the remaining 60% is all red (Republican), except for a very small blue splat that lasted 2 months 20 years ago

Here's a chart I made last year that color-codes every day of the FBI's history by the party affiliation of its Director. (It only runs through June of 2023, but Wray is still in office, so just add another column of red to the end.) Fact: the FBI is just pro-Republican uber-cops.
