Did some preliminary texturing with texture painting in Blender. I also figured out how to create materials, assign different materials to different parts of the mesh, and assign UV maps to them.

Made this cute little kitty today by following a tutorial! Learned a lot of new things, especially about modifiers - they’re basically black magic! Tomorrow I’m going to learn how to make a custom rig for this cat and animate it!

I spent quite a while working on this model because I wasn’t feeling well, but I think I’ll call it done. I made a ton of mistakes, but now I know what to do (and what not to do) next time. I’ll keep them in mind!

Spent pretty much the whole day wrestling with UV unwrapping today, but I think I finally got the hang of it. I made the UV map and exported it to Procreate, so now I’m going to paint the texture.

I've been so absorbed in Final Fantasy VIII lately that I decided to make a low-poly Squall model. I drew a turnaround - let's see how it goes. Ideally, I'd love to recreate Squall and Seifer's fight from the opening cinematic

I figured it out! The model was made for a custom Blender build called Goo Engine. Its material used nodes for a bright outline effect, but in the standard version of Blender they caused extreme overexposure.

Any Blender users among my followers? I have a couple of questions. For example, why does this model (not my own) look so blown out in Viewport Shading: Rendered in Blender 5.2? I'm following a YouTube tutorial, and it looks completely normal there, but mine ends up like this.

The flag is a bit too wobbly because I haven't fully wrapped my head around active modifiers yet. Hopefully, I'll be able to make more realistic animations in the future.

I spent the whole day studying the major muscle groups today. I think I even managed to memorize some of them. The arm and leg muscles are still the most confusing to me. Did I draw them correctly? Please let me know if you notice any mistakes.
