I like Burnham. I like what he’s trying to do. His Man City comments were odd though. If I’m a journo I’m looking closely at what ‘projects’ got through planning by Man City group whilst Burnham was mayor. As I said yesterday, Burnham would be advised to stay out.

He’s had a great start. His advisors need to tell him to steer clear of this topic.

This is the biggest scandal in the history of our national game. City are in huge trouble. Rightly so. Feel for their fans though, especially the ones who aren’t trying to justify/defend it.

If city get a massive point deduction and their players don’t have relegation clauses, I’m straight on the blower about Guehi and whether there’s an option to bring him back. There isn’t by the way and Guehi wouldn’t want to come back. But still. Ask the question!!!

I disagree. We should actually be given entry to next season’s champions league on the basis we beat a team that cheated significantly. It is basically a David and Goliath story, only Goliath was on steroids, speed and cocaine!

Parish says the club are working on more contracts since securing Hendo. Ty now linked to top clubs in Europe. His agent is busy. I suspect Mitchell will sign a new contract on significantly better terms quite soon. He deserves it. Cracking player. I’d love him to be a one club man.

None of these clubs have won a major trophy, let alone 3 in two years.

This Sage our nonsense needs to stop now. From the start of the season it is clear we’re building something but defence was a concern. Today we defended well and but for the hair on AK’s knee we win 1-0. Timber superb. Pino starting to purr! Away support firmly with sage.

Interesting that Munoz got caught out there.

Seeing Everton beat Ipswich is so annoying. With 11, we’re midtable now. Instead we’re going into tomorrow with a little trepidation.

000

tommylennylad.bsky.social @tommylennylad.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

Disagree. He’s been playing at this level longer than two and a half years! He was wearing a different kit.

DCL will have a field day on Sunday if we don’t grow a pair of bollocks in the back three. Our defence need to be ready for a scrap. Not sure they have the personality.

010

tommylennylad.bsky.social @tommylennylad.bsky.social · 14/09/2026

What is this ‘I deserve the Balon d’or’ nonsense? Show some class. All of you!

000

tommylennylad.bsky.social @tommylennylad.bsky.social · 14/09/2026

Tell you one area that bothers me now. Those subs. I’m sure Gozo has potential but I have a horrible feeling that if it is Guessand who comes on, we don’t lose that game due to his experience of top level football.

000

tommylennylad.bsky.social @tommylennylad.bsky.social · 13/09/2026

This ‘touches in the box’ bollocks we’re seeing is a new example of a totally and utterly pointless stat in football. Stats are ruining the game. Creating discussion points that aren’t there!

Need our WSL defensive coach out with the men tomorrow.

tommylennylad.bsky.social @tommylennylad.bsky.social · 13/09/2026

Doing a bit of research it seems that calling out his players is a feature of Sage’s management. If players downed tools yesterday I’d say it is a concern. But they didn’t. They look like a group playing for their coach.

040

tommylennylad.bsky.social @tommylennylad.bsky.social · 13/09/2026

People were calling for glasner’s head in his first full season after 8 games. We ended up winning the cup. People will never learn.

140

tommylennylad.bsky.social @tommylennylad.bsky.social · 13/09/2026

MOTD saying Ipswich deserved win?! F**k off!

100

tommylennylad.bsky.social @tommylennylad.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

Criticism of Sage at this stage is bizarre. That said, I’ll watch with interest what happens next week. Guessand, McNeil and now Canvot being publicly outed. I didn’t like this when Glasner did it and find it hard to stomach now. Keep this stuff in-house.

Seen us lose 0-3 to Huddersfield, 0-4 to Sunderland, 2-3 to Burnley. These results happen. Take emotion out, performance was good and spirit with 10 men amazing. Of the two managers, O’Neil is probably the most concerned long term but the happier tonight. Sure up defence and we’re looking upwards.

060

tommylennylad.bsky.social @tommylennylad.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

So, I’m in a mood but… -Players clearly playing for Sage. -We look genuinely threatening as an attacking outlet. -When it clicks defensively we should be ok. But… It has to be a ‘when it clicks defensively’, not an ‘if’. Even under OG the rot started to set with back 3. Needs sorting asap.

280

tommylennylad.bsky.social @tommylennylad.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

We didn’t deserve that. I saw fight and desire in that team. But I also saw dog shite defending. We need to sort that out. Our premier league status depends on it.

080

tommylennylad.bsky.social @tommylennylad.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

Well, we ain’t getting shit today. Might go for a walk.

010

tommylennylad.bsky.social @tommylennylad.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

Like what I’ve seen from sage but…keep dropping and alienating players can backfire.

000

tommylennylad.bsky.social @tommylennylad.bsky.social · 11/09/2026

Where does this team finish? 4231 Henderson Peak AWB Guehi Lacroix Mitchell Wharton Peak Doucoure Olise Eze Peak Zaha Mateta (or try Sarr up top) Frightening. I genuinely think top 4. Of players stay fit, potential title challengers. Why can’t we be a destination club. 😢

000

tommylennylad.bsky.social @tommylennylad.bsky.social · 11/09/2026

Love this guy! What a privilege it was to see him live.

021

tommylennylad.bsky.social @tommylennylad.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

Sarr needs to put his big boy pants on now and stop sulking. I wonder if the Saudi window closing October 12th is a good cure for groin strains. Highly doubt we’ll see Sarr until after the international break, or at all of big Saudi money comes in.

000

tommylennylad.bsky.social @tommylennylad.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

Guessand is built like a 9 but wants to play 10 in a 4231. We have two 9s better than him. We play 3421 so he needs to drop deeper at times and be tactically disciplined. Not sure it suits him. It’s why I couldn’t understand why we opted for another loan.

000

tommylennylad.bsky.social @tommylennylad.bsky.social · 08/09/2026

Decent result and performance. Guessand has clearly irritated Sage. Shame Doucoure wasn’t involved.

110

tommylennylad.bsky.social @tommylennylad.bsky.social · 08/09/2026

People saying Cherki is class aren’t wrong. But it shows how the game has evolved and there aren’t many ‘ballers’ any more. Old days even ‘smaller’ clubs had them. Okocha, Ben Arfa, Kinkladze, Curcic. Midtable ballers. Football was littered with them. Now it’s pace and power first. Skill second.

000

tommylennylad.bsky.social @tommylennylad.bsky.social · 06/09/2026

Eze is an Arsenal fan who won the prem. I do wonder if he regrets moving due to lack of game time though. Cheeky loan in Jan if it continues?

tommylennylad.bsky.social @tommylennylad.bsky.social · 06/09/2026

Cpfc women not allowing Everton to do us is great!

010

tommylennylad.bsky.social @tommylennylad.bsky.social · 06/09/2026

Watched the highlights. I was harsh criticising Pino yesterday. He just needs consistency to his game. Other thoughts. Disasi could be one of those cult hero loans. Henderson was motm. Got to sort defence out. Our ‘away’ kit is the best home kit we’ve had in years. Typical Palace! 🤣

tommylennylad.bsky.social @tommylennylad.bsky.social · 05/09/2026

Hull City’s organisation and discipline will keep them up.

000

tommylennylad.bsky.social @tommylennylad.bsky.social · 05/09/2026

Great result but let’s be honest here. That was two clubs that will struggle if they don’t sort defences out!

1100

tommylennylad.bsky.social @tommylennylad.bsky.social · 05/09/2026

Defence calamitous and midfield not taking control. Look good going forward but this alone won’t win us games. Need more.

tommylennylad.bsky.social @tommylennylad.bsky.social · 04/09/2026

Rules I’d make that football can’t cope with. -Transfer windows shut, August 1st. -Salary cap of 200k a week. -Player value capped at £50m. -Only 4 transferred players can be registered. (Promoted teams can have 6) -Half of 25 match day squad must be from academies.
