It's been pretty amazing to be honest and I have a good amount of the trip to go. <3

Dang, what's it like for visibility?

If it helps I've had it booked since December last year. :B It is also just the time to go outside of April for a lot of westerners because summer is too hot and winter is too cold.

Hiked up Mt. Inari today and it was worth the endeavour. <3

Yeah, it's been noticeable even as a Brit too. Kyoto has been a different vibe to Tokyo on top of that too.

Saw that in Kyoto yesterday when trying to get some trucks to pass through. The lack of shouting/directness by comparison to back home is noticeable.

Good is an understatement, they have been a godsend on this trip for random drinks and treats. I can't get over how good some of the drinks are.

Honestly it's a top notch room, pricey but worth it. Despite it being right next to Kyoto station it feels like it's nestled away.

This has been the best night's sleep I've had in weeks. Getting settled into Kyoto now. <3

The people in my life, that sucky things usually aren't forever, and that ultimately you're not alone and do have a support network. Never be afraid to get those feelings out. <3

I'm over there too, it's nice getting to nerd out. X3

I'm still processing that I'm in Japan and trying not to get too overly excited about the 7-11 in the hotel.

Meeting someone there, she's travelling from the states. It's in the early stages so we'll see how the trip pans out.

Finally packed for Japan, had this trip planned for so long and it almost feels unreal that I'm finally going while getting to spend time with someone truly wonderful. I'm getting jitters and then some admittedly.

The fact you're considering your kid's needs in such a fashion already means that you'd nail it as a dad.

Found it way easier than dealing with Gen Xers because they didn't grow up with the Internet in the same way but British Gen Xers just feel like a bunch of cranky alcoholics who hate fun.

Big same, my brain went down the macabre path of visualising all the gory bits that are off camera and it felt super unsettling for a while. I ended up making myself vomit. ;-;

British imperial decline has been more piecemeal, the Yanks are just speedrunning a century of humiliation it seems.

I just want a positive outcome and for there to be hope for progressive politics, to set an international example and put right wing populism in the trash.

Who you vote for might be your business but once it crosses a line when it comes to certain values then you should expect to be made to feel shitty for said choices.

I knew of furries who voted for Trump and made it a priority to cut them from my life. It is never wrong to shame people for shitty behaviour and call them out where possible for being idiots at best, traitors at worst.

Every American should double check their voters registrations just in case. Do everything you can to take a step in the right direction to unfuck the current shitshow over there we're all having to endure. When Americans shit the bed, the world deals with the smell.

🚨A technical error at the Texas Department of Public Safety has created a major backlog of voter registration applications, with some incomplete records dating back to 2025. If you recently registered to vote in Texas, now is a good time to double-check that your information is actually on file.

I did this when I bought my place. It's good just to have it. Also have a non-family member as your executor for both neutrality and so they can hide all your kinky/furry stuff from family members. :U

It aggravates the fuck out of me and because the algorithm is tied to monetisation it scares creators so now they use all this baby language. The boomer in me has gotten annoyed at how the Internet has become designed for teenagers now so everything is sanitised.
