Whoa - with less than 2/3rds of the data brokers having processed and reported back DROP statuses, my DROP Status shows that my personal information has already been reported back to have been deleted by over 170 data brokers! Remember, DROP is free to all Californians - go to privacy.ca.gov !

Great news! @governor.ca.gov has signed the Expanding Privacy Rights Act (SB 923, Becker). This CalPrivacy-sponsored bill closes a loophole in the California Consumer Privacy Act’s right to delete and makes it easier for consumers to exercise their privacy rights. It goes into effect Jan. 1, 2027.
