I dont think i actually finished my campaigns on Rome 1 or 2. Last I remember in Rome 2, I had conquered all of Europe as the Romans and was making my way towards Carthage when my save file corrupted. Lost hours so I gave up.

Total War 40k is coming out on console I believe, so hopefully it's the start of more making their way across.

Walking home in the dark and I just got jump scared by a Blue Riband wrapper blowing in the wind! 🤣 Funniest part was i didn't even spot the person coming the other way just up the path who was probably thinking what all the fuss was about!

Just got back from watching the new Resident Evil at the cinema. I found it to be a very enjoyable watch, but not as good as I was hoping given all the positive press. It's hard to describe what I didnt like without going into spoilers, but I felt the tone was a bit off in places.

Yeah i think normal Dr Pepper already has cherry flavour in it, but this is meant to make it stand out more, but doesn't.

Wow! Thanks for the amazing offer of absolutely nothing!😆 I haven't played WoT Console for about a month and it's amusing to see that's it just as busted as it was before my break. Unable to claim any free season bundles in the store either. Of course it's Xbox's fault though not them.

I bought a can of Dr Pepper Cherry on the way home from work today. It didn't seem to taste much different than normal Dr Pepper 😕

Hooray! I wasn't expecting it to arrive today as I had no dispatch notice, but I finally have a copy of The Blood of Dawnwalker! Managed to order from The Game Collection in the end. Maybe I'll get a blank CD and write the title on it just to put something in the Steelbook! 😁

That's the main story in Halo Campaign Evolved finished. Enjoyed it so much more than the bonus missions. Looked incredible, plays close to the original & in some instances improves on it. Would give it a solid 8/10. With more polish it could have been a 9. Bonus levels get a 6.

Even after a few of them died Fallout style by touching random terrain, I still had an abundance of marines ready to escort Captain Keyes off the Truth & Reconciliation. I did die a few times to friendly fire though because of them being grenade happy.

Tom Arrgghh @tomjrileyuk.bsky.social · 07/09/2026

Normally I do heroic first and then legendary. But this time around, I went straight for the toughest difficulty and regretted it. Currently doing the main campaign on heroic and having much more fun.

010

Tom Arrgghh @tomjrileyuk.bsky.social · 07/09/2026

Heroic is generally my go to difficulty to really enjoy the games. Legendary playthrough normally comes after. But yeah I've played all the Bungie titles so many times I pick up on missing/changed details. Just finished the beautiful looking 2nd mission.

The water at my old work was ridiculously hard it used to give me a bad stomach. Even after descaling the kettle, it didn't take long for the limescale to start forming stalagmites in there.

110

Tom Arrgghh @tomjrileyuk.bsky.social · 07/09/2026

I've only played the first level leaving the Autumn, but already everything feels better. I did drop the difficulty down to heroic so that might explain part of it. The only disappointing thing is the voice changes for Cortana, Keyes & marines. They're not terrible, but some lines don't hit the same

That's the prequel missions of Halo Combat Evolved done. Visually very nice levels & story is okay, but gameplay & balance on legendary feel way off. Repeat wave rooms makes it feel like they have no idea how to structure levels like Bungie did. Plus enemy AI sometimes breaks.

Tom Arrgghh @tomjrileyuk.bsky.social · 06/09/2026

Hopefully Amazon will feel like delivering my physical day one copy next week. Otherwise I'll just have to buy it digitally when I've finished playing Halo.

010

Tom Arrgghh @tomjrileyuk.bsky.social · 04/09/2026

Well it's now past 5pm on Friday and my Amazon preorder of The Blood of Dawnwalker has not even been dispatched, despite saying "Arriving Today". Plus the listing for the PC version has now changed its image to an Xbox case 😬

020

Tom Arrgghh @tomjrileyuk.bsky.social · 03/09/2026

Playing on Legendary at the moment. Balancing seems a bit off compared to the original, but I won't really be able to tell until I get to the proper campaign. They might have done that on purpose though to make it harder than old Legendary.

010

Tom Arrgghh @tomjrileyuk.bsky.social · 03/09/2026

The delay on firing after swapping weapons is frustrating, especially as the AI on Elites & Brutes sometimes leads them to just charging you. Also been several occasions where the AI just breaks. Some sounds & music not playing. Terrain collision bugs when shooting, so shots just hit invisible walls

120

Tom Arrgghh @tomjrileyuk.bsky.social · 03/09/2026

I'm still on the 1st prequel mission at the moment, it's okay but I can definitely see some of the issues people were talking about. Looking forward to playing the main campaign though.

Tom Arrgghh @tomjrileyuk.bsky.social · 03/09/2026

Swapped from playing a game about shooting daemons & traitors to one where I play a demon saving the universe from a giant hula hoop.

Watching some more Bond tonight. I wasn't the biggest fan of Skyfall when on my first watch as it lost some of the serious tone established in the previous two entries. But over time it has grown on me.
