Kyle is notorious for no Plan B. They better pray Saleh doesn't get the Jax job. Sorensen is the worst call, the one year he's STC his group is 24th in the league. This is going to fix things?

Tom Jensen @tomjensen.bsky.social · 18/01/2025

On interviews yeah. I can't recall any Niner interviews for a coordinator job in the Shanahan Era that were withheld from the media. Threle's no motive to do so.

000

Tom Jensen @tomjensen.bsky.social · 18/01/2025

Nope. But we know who they've interviewed. Saleh, Townsend, and Staley. Only. It's been reported that ST has been offered to Sorensen.

Tom Jensen @tomjensen.bsky.social · 15/01/2025

In a vacuum that's undeniably true. However, when you evaluate the players, there are no tackles worth the 11th pick other than Simmons, coming off a knee injury. The best guard is Donovan Jackson, early 2, the best center is Grey Zabel late 2. Can get the best OL talent outside of the 1st.

49ers Draft on Defense: Which Position Should they Take in Round 1?

The 49ers biggest position need is a defensive tackle that can stop the run and rush the passer.

Tom Jensen @tomjensen.bsky.social · 13/01/2025

Me too. I didn't expect it but the OL has a lot of red flags. Campbell not being a tackle removes him, Banks is getting questioned now by scouts and draft experts, and Simmons is an injury risk. I still expect they draft D at 11. Kyle won't take OL in the 1st so red zone scoring and that's Warren.

000

Tom Jensen @tomjensen.bsky.social · 13/01/2025

I was surprised. In a vacuum OL, but Campbell is a guard, Banks is a G/T waist bender with technique issues, Simmons is coming off a knee injury, Ersery is too big for Kyle. None of them are worth taking at 11. Donovan Jackson is best OL, 2nd Rd. Qb no. RB can wait to 3rd, WR no. So TE. On offense.
