What an album. My favourite of his by a considerable margin.

I hadn't heard of Panchiko before yesterday. Their story is truly amazing, proper musical rags to riches stuff ... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Panchik...

That's ridiculously cool. It's one of the best albums ever written. Nothing beats 90s PJ.

Ear candy, hope he loved it!

It's hard to have a favourite Nirvana song, for me anyway. I think Aneurysm is the most 'Nirvana' Nirvana song though.

Tom H @tomfromnottm.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

Their inadvertent Pixies tribute! Nothing less than a 11/10 on that album!

Tom H @tomfromnottm.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

I whole heartedly agree with the second part of that sentence!

110

Tom H @tomfromnottm.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

Siamese Dream seems to be a recurring theme in a lot of these I've seen. Including mine!

Heaven! These next 3 months are by far my favourite part of the year!

110

Tom H @tomfromnottm.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

Possibly 😂 We're heading into Stilton season so the reserves will be well and truly filled up! (With my 3 jars of chilli chutney which are becoming more awesome as I type, in the shed!)

Tom H @tomfromnottm.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

Excellent. I saw Fionn not far away from there, at Bodega!

Tom H @tomfromnottm.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

No gigs this year, yet, for me, but I'm seeing Sparta, one of my favourite bands, on Thursday. Then Phoebe Bridgers in November. That'll do me for 2026!

I'm going to put Quicksand on now in honour to your peppers!

Tom H @tomfromnottm.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

Not mine, but it's a stunning album. Saw him when he toured this album, just him and his guitar. A magical experience!

Tom H @tomfromnottm.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

I'm glad the shite that is 80s music is becoming a bit of a calling card 😅 I'll listen again. I work 5 days a week after all 😄

Tom H @tomfromnottm.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

Stilton makes anything better! I used to live (briefly) in the village Stilton from where it got its name, and I live very close to where the proper stuff is made now. My blood is at least 40% Stilton!

That, as it happens, is my favourite soup. I have several cans on standby, 'just in case'! The soup maker makes an exquisite version, which i triple the stilton content of 🧀

Tom H @tomfromnottm.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

I don't mean this in a bad way at all despite how it may sound, because some of my favourite albums fall into this category, but it's the kinda music I like to listen to, in the background, when I'm working from home. Thanks for the rec!

Once Porcelina Of The Vast Oceans is done, I'll stick it on!

It does, even sautés the garlic and onions, albeit i prefer to do this separately on the hob.
