The protesters that sprang to action, filled the streets, and stormed her offices represent the southern tip of Maine, but the vast majority of the state- while less populated - consists of rednecks and rubes who keep her in office . It's a tough state for progressive politics.

I'm 62 and no one over retirement age (for their respective generation) should be holding office as a public servant, representative, leader or law maker. It doesn't make sense. We don't even have to send them a card or gift. We send a Facebook message and shop them something from Amazon and we're done. Saves time so that we can get back to scrolling. Our muscle memory, both physical and mental, won't let us sacrifice these basic necessities to save ourselves.
