As I understand things, Zack said before the vote that he would have favoured one of the amendments to it (sorry - can't remember which one!) Tend to agree. An abstention would have been best (which is kind of what he did by not voting)

In Jeff Forshaw's book on Black Holes he justifies complementarity on the basis that no one could show a traveller who fell behind an event horizon his ashes as he crossed the horizon. Just got an email about an author I follow having a new book out. It's by an author I like and at almost 500 pages on a subject I'm interested in, Niels Bohr. I'm tempted. But £15?
