Our new events listings page is now live on our website and, boy, we're starting to get busy. These are all on top of our 13 monthly book club meetings and external private bookings! bookcellar.uk/events/ #independentbookshop #bristol

A brilliant evening last night Julian Sayerer and Nick Hunt discussing travel, Latin America and the global impact of the crisis in Gaza. My copy of the book didn’t arrive in enough time before the event, but very much looking forward to reading this one!

After seeing @michaelpedersen.bsky.social speak at Latitude, I had to read Muckle Flugga. So glad I did. Heavy themes told with beauty and magic. Straight on the staff recommends shelf!

Having a play with mapping Bristol's indie bookshops. Since the last Bookshop Crawl map was published in 2025 there's at least four of us have opened new shops and in new parts of town. We plot quite nicely into north-south and east-west trails.

Just completed Moonlight Express by @monisharajesh.bsky.social. A brilliantly transporting read, which has immediately inspired two journeys for slowing down and avoiding flights in 2027. We have only a handful of signed copies left after Monisha’s brilliant event earlier this month.

It’s almost time for our third Open Mic Night at the BookCellar. Starting at 6pm this evening we have twelve acts signed up spanning music, poetry and story, and there’s always space for one or two walk-ups. 6pm at 100 Stokes Croft, Bristol

I have to say #BookCellar in Bristol is amazing. Yummy wine, coffee and cake along with excellent staff picks of books. #books #wine bookcellar.uk
