Not to be a centrist, but I liked both these posts. You can hate the people trying to turn cities in to suburbia without hating everyone moving to a city. And that the "transplant" discourse, at least in San Francisco, has created perfect cover for people who have lived here forever to act shitty.

"Transplant hate" is about people who want to turn the city into a bigger version of their shitty hometown -- just as white, but w/better [insert ethnicity here] food.
It's not that people move. It's that they move & then use cash and cops for racist blandification.
