Accessible tooltips are incredibly hard to build as a generic component in React (and I assume other component-based frameworks) It's way harder than just linking the tooltip text to the trigger with aria-describedby

So, it's recommended that nav links move focus to the main content by #a11y experts. But I can't find a single app that actually does this outside of static content apps. All of the apps of any complexity that I've checked don't work this way What gives?

they can never convince me that sin and cosine are the same. sin is a wave and cos is literally just a v like what do you mean
Graph of f(x) = cos x and f(x) = sin x

If better models can complete the same task with fewer tokens, this makes the smaller models more expensive in token-based billing models. But smaller models are cheaper to run right? So smaller models are more expensive to use yet cheaper to run? Doesn't this seem backwards?

I was looking to implement this awesome hidden="until-found" pattern in our component library but learned it's not possible in React 😭

A pattern I see recommended by #a11y experts is to use aria-disabled instead of native disabled for inputs/buttons If you do this, how are you supposed to remove the name=value from the FormData?

There seems to be a crazy spam wave happening right now. LLM generated replies that sounds quite natural but are not related at all to the parent post. I have a post with 16 spam replies all from different accounts, they all have the same vibe like they've been generated with the same prompt

🪟✨ New in Glide v0.2.24 I added the ability to always float windows by matching on their app bundle id, title, or accessibility role
```toml
# Always float macos preferences
[[window_rules]]
if.app_id = "com.apple.systempreferences"
float = true
ARIA Pattern guide seems to suggest that menus should always focus the first menu item but in my experience that isn't the case. It's not how macOS/Windows works and I'm hard pressed to find any UI on the web that implements it this way Anyone have insight on this?
I posit that anthropic ran mythos against curl back in April when they were doing their PR around it, found that it didn't produce any huge findings, and subsequently "delayed" access to the curl team because of it Classic selection bias in the reporting around this new model I'm sure
Couple of gut checks about knative functions (faas): Can they do http streaming? Can the build be made to be faster than "mind numbingly slow"? Note: I'm talking about actually packing it up, not compiling - assume I'm using JS so just need to pull node and copy the index.js
Does something like an OIDC proxy exist where I can store my secrets securely in a service that I own/deploy and then connect to over OIDC from platforms like Vercel? Is that even a good idea?
