Scientists at Cambridge's @loke-ctr.bsky.social have, for the first time, used base editing to study gene function in human embryos. In future, the findings could help to improve IVF success rates and better understand early pregnancy loss. Read more: bit.ly/4aQOAZD

Excited to share our new preprint: Whole slide image analysis of the endometrial decidual reaction reveals multiscale perturbations associated with miscarriage. A huge team effort, and a step toward understanding pregnancy failure. Let us know your thoughts! www.biorxiv.org/content/10.6...

Excited to share a paper recently published from the prof. Jan Brosens team! Not far a decade of research has led to this publication. We found that disruptions in the endometrial decidual reaction may help explain why some people experience recurrent miscarriage. www.science.org/doi/10.1126/...

Stalling of the endometrial decidual reaction determines the recurrence risk of miscarriage
The frequency of menstrual cycles culminating in a suboptimal decidual reaction determines the recurrence risk of miscarriage.

On #WorldHealthDay, we’re spotlighting #Springboard25 awardee, Dr Emma Lucas 🌟 Her research explores whether common painkillers like ibuprofen and aspirin impact fertility and early pregnancy, helping close major gaps in women’s health 💊👶 👉 bit.ly/44irB7l #HealthForAll #HopefulFutures

Today we had our lab retreat at the Eddington Postdoc Centre for the first time in a while!🧪 We had so much fun combining workshops and team-building activities, and we definitely made the most of our time together. Do you do retreats in your lab? What are they usually like? We will read you below!👇
