Generally yes but Richard Cohen has verified that it’s pronounced in her case.

But Stewie can question the integrity of the refs? Sounds like she’s trying to make the controversy about everything except for the fact that her coaching staff messed up. She definitely did ask but is it possible that the refs didn’t hear her or thought she was talking to her bench?

A’ja Wilson is a GOAT among GOATs.

Ridiculous. No one denies that a lot of people tune in because she’s playing. But certain fans feel that because of this, Something Should Be Done to ensure she goes to the Finals. This is not scripted reality TV. It’s a sports event and going further must be earned on the court.

The only reason I would ever want to live by one is if it was my company so I could walk to work. I'd still want to work out of earshot of it, too. They will not only have heating/cooling fans on the roof but also a noisy generator as backup power which probably belches black smoke when operating.

I am a network engineer. I have dealt with data centers for the last 25+ years. They do NOT bring many jobs to the area. You might need a few people to be on site as techs, security guards, or people to sign for packages. But they are almost always operated remotely while consuming local resources.

The fact that she is so far above everyone else in this era of so many stars makes me see her as maybe THE GOAT.

Somewhat-patiently awaiting your next book. Please don't judge all us Americans by our non-book-reading goverment.

Dolly Parton was an angel on earth. Not only did she bring beautiful music, but she was truly a self-made millionaire who never forgot where she came from. She quietly funded so many initiatives to help people with little. I do believe that if this life was a test that she passed with flying colors.

There’s a whole series of them. The most awkward ones are when the two of them are talking about the janitor imo. And knowing about so many shows how I watch too much WNBA

Remember that there is a declared maximum testosterone level for "women." Enes would need to start hormone therapy to get himself beneath that threshold. It's more than just stating one day that you are a female.

Tanya Ollick @tollick.bsky.social · 07/08/2026
The reason Castor Semenya was banned was that she had too high a testosterone level. Also, he needs to be subjected to the same indignities that they are proposing for female-to-male trans athletes - a complete examination. Yes, this is all disgusting to think about.
000
Tanya Ollick @tollick.bsky.social · 07/08/2026
So, let's look at the next level here. To be a "woman player" Enes is saying that he considers himself a woman. So, we need to see some evidence that he considers himself a woman. Let's see him in drag and starting to take the hormones to transition. There are testosterone limits in place, too.

it does, especially for a fan like you. I had seen this same thing happening for years to others so I had time to mentally prepare. Have you ever considered going for a media credential instead?

I finally realized that I wasn't getting enough enjoyment anymore to justify the price. I had to make a choice between it and the travel that my sister and I do and realized those vacations were more precious to me. I am glad the league is growing but always knew it would cost us long-time fans.

What if she clears waivers and then gets signed to a minimum rest-of-season contract by someone?

Nope. I am going to be touring Washington state to install routers and switches. I'll have to catch them in LA.

Yeah, I even forgot that Lawson succeeded Reeve. I am so work-busy that my mind has not caught up.

I really hope that they do not make the exception. I got into arguments with people even at the Olympics and only the idea that they had a process that included camp participation helped. If they break that policy for someone else, it will just fan the flames.

I've made it clear that I not only consider her MVP this year but possibly the GOAT due to how often she does it and how effortless it seems. It does help that Las Vegas knows how to surround her with a talented supporting cast but she is the key no matter how often the others change around her.

I think what you really mean is that the MEDIA chose to frame it that way for a day. And, that's just because they knew they could get the clicks just by featuring Obama. You all will go back to the rage-clickbait soon enough.

I have a little page I run and I have repeatedly stated that Clark will be in the Hall of Fame. I like how her offense has evolved and I think she could be Diana Taurasi's equal. She already has the attitude of DT but DT didn't develop that attitude until after she'd won two rings.
000
Tanya Ollick @tollick.bsky.social · 13/07/2026
Touch foul or not it's a FOUL. I am responding because you are. What, you want me to just be silent? You showed a bunch of still pictures which might have been a foul if the movements were right. They also might have gotten actually called but you have no idea, you just pulled random pictures up.
000
Tanya Ollick @tollick.bsky.social · 13/07/2026
Exactly. Look at what is attached to this post. According to the clickbait articles, she was elbowed by Gray. Did you see an elbow? Gray also was supposed to have hit her hard. Well, I saw Clark do a pretty good job of backing off the contact in that play. But she was never vertical.
000
Tanya Ollick @tollick.bsky.social · 13/07/2026
Nope. A bunch of people who have never watched the league before are adjusting what a foul really is in order to make their player seem better than she is. And newsflash: most Indiana fans ARE Republicans. It's a red state. Your girl is a whiner and is going to get eaten alive in the World Cup.
000
Tanya Ollick @tollick.bsky.social · 13/07/2026
Understand that contact is part of the game. You have still pictures that clickbait articles take to make things seem worse than they are. The pictures don't even say whether a foul was called. All you super fans are doing is making Clark seem like a whiner by complaining about getting breathed on.
010
Tanya Ollick @tollick.bsky.social · 13/07/2026
Yeah, and the league corrected it. That happens too. She's not the only one to have had calls missed. The issue is that she's your player and so you hyper focus on her to the exclusion of everything else. I watch other players and see a similar amount of contact everywhere.
010
Tanya Ollick @tollick.bsky.social · 13/07/2026
She never gets those calls because most of her defenders are in proper position. Like it or not, this is what happens when one drives in. Watch the contact A'ja Wilson takes in the paint. That's pro ball. Clark is going to continue to have these frustrations because she's not learning from them.
010
Tanya Ollick @tollick.bsky.social · 13/07/2026
Nope. She started arms forward and stayed that way. It was not simultaneous either. She HAS to get those arms returned more upright. As I've said, I've watched WNBA for all 30 years and Gray is one of the smartest. Refs are not always the best but that was an easy call.
010
Tanya Ollick @tollick.bsky.social · 13/07/2026
Nope. She was not defending from the arms vertical position so she raked Gray across the arm when Gray went up into her shooting motion. I have seen a TON of defensive players get called like that when savvy vets see their arms-forward defense.
000
Tanya Ollick @tollick.bsky.social · 09/07/2026
it's probably good because she's now a regular player with 7 days of full WNBA pay. She's also eligible to play in any game. Of course, it would be better if they re-sign her for more contracts and even for a rest-of season.

So she bounced off?

Tanya Ollick @tollick.bsky.social · 11/06/2026
Details, details. Given what we needed from her, I actually am happy to have her and wouldn’t trade her. The Storm had better get a nice lottery position for Hannah Hidalgo/JuJu Watkins.

It was her fans and the bandwagon media who projected her as both a savior and an MVP in year 1. She had the growing pains that I personally expected and an injury in year two. I always expected her to improve to be a Hall-of-Famer in the mold of Diana Taurasi. Her vision and passing is so, so good.
030
Tanya Ollick @tollick.bsky.social · 04/06/2026
I believed you. That’s why I was so hyped. Now let’s get Hannah Hidalgo or Juju with our lottery pick.
000
Tanya Ollick @tollick.bsky.social · 03/06/2026
She had a double-double of 25 points and 15 rebounds in this game and her team won easily with her leading them. "GOAT's" last game saw them blown out by an expansion team. A'ja also has a national championship, 3 WNBA titles, and 4 WNBA MVPs. Whatever she is doing is working.

so you're saying there's a chance?

Doesn't that really say that they know who Wembanyama is but not why the Knicks are there?

Somebody posted a screen shot of that world record showing that no one had touched the wall when the clock stopped running at the WR time. I have no idea if it was doctored or not. What I really see is a bunch of OK athletes who need steroids to come close to the true elites.
000
Tanya Ollick @tollick.bsky.social · 24/05/2026
Totally wrong take. The Mohegan tribe invested in the league at a time where it was desperate for owners. They were solid partners during a time when they made no money. Even when they sold the team they tried to do right by the fans and keep it in Boston but the league overrode them.

I did that a couple of times. It felt like being a kid again. Nostalgic.

So you think that trying to attack a teammate on the sidelines during her rookie season ISN'T a bad attitude? Because I watched it on TV. They asked her to attend anger management classes after that and she refused. I'm glad she seems to have matured but don't try to reinvent reality.

In my world (network engineering), certifications often replaces the college degree in terms of prerequisites. It's still higher education, I suppose, and indicates a specific set of proficiencies related to a job. It's just something that can be done through self-study now.

Tanya Ollick @tollick.bsky.social · 14/05/2026
No worries. It was short but sweet to have them there. I'm in Seattle now and kept my WNBA fandom going.
