What franchises are allowed? If it counts as Tokusatsu, whether from Japan or anywhere else, whether it's an adaptation, a movie, or a series, you are welcome to participate.

On each prompt day, you'll be able to choose from 3 different prompts and create whatever inspires you. Day 4 will be Multiship Day, inviting you to explore multiple ships and characters, with an additional non-themed prompt for anyone who wants to take a different direction.

TokuShipping Week @tokushipping.bsky.social · 28/08/2026

This year, the celebration will take place over 2 weeks, (Feb 8 - 21). Instead of running for 7 consecutive days, the event will feature 7 prompt days, each followed by a rest day. You'll have a little more time to create, catch up, and enjoy everyone's work throughout the event.

I think that covers everything… at least for now! Also, some of you may have received a DM from me. Whatever you choose to do with it is completely up to you, keep it private or share it, your call. I hope you’re all doing well!

100

TokuShipping Week @tokushipping.bsky.social · 07/04/2026

So for TokuSmut 2027, I’m considering: - Keeping the main prompts - Adding a separate spicy bonus prompt That way, you can base your works on the main prompts, the spicy one, or mix both however you like.

110

TokuShipping Week @tokushipping.bsky.social · 07/04/2026

• What about TokuSmut? Yes, it’s staying. However, someone made a really good point: since the prompts were the same as the main event, there wasn’t much incentive for people to go wild with it.

100

TokuShipping Week @tokushipping.bsky.social · 07/04/2026

(And seriously, on Instagram especially, please tag me if I miss your post. It’s nearly impossible to track things there otherwise.)

100

TokuShipping Week @tokushipping.bsky.social · 07/04/2026

Pixiv had almost no activity, only one person posted there last I checked. I’ll keep reblogging/posting/tweeting/bookmarking works. Just keep in mind that on less active ones, it may take me longer to find things.

100

TokuShipping Week @tokushipping.bsky.social · 07/04/2026

• Social media presence The event will continue across multiple platforms. Tumblr will remain the main hub. Twitter/X and Bluesky were the next most active. Instagram had the least activity. It’s incredibly hard to find posts there now. I miss when hashtags actually worked 😓

100

TokuShipping Week @tokushipping.bsky.social · 07/04/2026

• Prompts for next year? Also something for a future form. I might reuse some 2026 prompts or bring back unused ones, but I’ll definitely be asking for input again.

110

TokuShipping Week @tokushipping.bsky.social · 07/04/2026

Because of that, I’m considering alternatives like a “BiWeek” or even a “Month” format. It would still be seven prompt days total, just more spread out. This is something I’ll probably ask about in a future survey, but feel free to share your thoughts here too.

110

TokuShipping Week @tokushipping.bsky.social · 07/04/2026

• Will it stay a full “week” format? This is something I’ll need to think about more. While most people liked the full week format, many also mentioned wanting a slower pace. More time to create, share, and enjoy without pressure.

110

TokuShipping Week @tokushipping.bsky.social · 07/04/2026

That would probably be the only day with four prompts total. All other days will most likely stay at three prompts, since that had near-unanimous support.

100

TokuShipping Week @tokushipping.bsky.social · 07/04/2026

So… what about TokuShipping 2027? Nothing is set in stone yet, but here are some early thoughts: • Themed day? Very likely. Over 70% said they enjoyed it, but few people also asked for more variety, so I’m considering having one themed day + a bonus prompt for that day.

100

TokuShipping Week @tokushipping.bsky.social · 07/04/2026

Second: every single person said they want the event to come back. So… yeah. SCREW IT!!! TOKUSHIPPING 2027 IS HAPPENING. 🔥 I mean, I can’t really say no if that many people want it, right? 😉

110

TokuShipping Week @tokushipping.bsky.social · 07/04/2026

The most important one: everyone said they felt safe participating. No hostility, no bad experiences. That genuinely means a lot to me. Creating a welcoming and safe space was always the main goal, so knowing it actually worked makes me incredibly happy.

110

TokuShipping Week @tokushipping.bsky.social · 07/04/2026

Still, it makes me really glad to see the event had enough impact for this to happen. (Fanlore page next, maybe? 👀) I also want to share a few key takeaways from the post-event form, especially the ones that could shape future editions.

110

TokuShipping Week @tokushipping.bsky.social · 07/04/2026

Only the main event tag was canonized. The daily tags are registered as synonyms instead of separate tags, so unfortunately you can’t filter works by specific days. Would I have preferred separate subtags for each day? Yeah, but I’m just really happy this happened at all

110

TokuShipping Week @tokushipping.bsky.social · 07/04/2026

TokuShipping Week 2026 is now canon on AO3! + TokuShipping 2027? + Other updates First things first… TokuShipping Week 2026 is now a canonized tag on AO3! 🎉 It’s officially linked to the Tokusatsu n Power Rangers tags. You can now easily filter and find fanworks using it.

Fic summary:
They anticipated and countered each other's movements like a frenetically paced dance, the choreography a story writing itself as each second passed. If they were like this apart, imagine what they could do together—

Unfortunately for X, it was destined to remain in his imagination.
